The way I see it is the guy made some really messed up decisions and paid for it in the most severe way...but I have a hard time feeling bad for him....I guess the way I look at it, he is lucky he did not kill anyone else...

Please I if I hear one more time , because i do not feel bad I have no heart I am going to puke.....
I have so many things going on in my life that when this guy died, it didn't phase me in the least...does that mean I have no heart?
I give to and help the handicaped all the time, I have a heavy heart when I run over a wild animal, or when I see a dead one in the road....The difference with these and Hancock is he made his own grave, these animals and the handicapped people I deal with did not make dumb decisions that lead to their situation....so please don't say you have no heart if you dont feel bad.....I feel bad for his family because they did not make the decisions that led to this.....

Yea i felt bad for him and his family.. it is human nature, no matter why he died. People make stupid decisions all the time and I still feel for him and his family. People STILL feel bad for the VT shooter (Ching meng Ho) or watever.
Most people have a caring nature and feel bad when something like this happens, no matter the circumstances.

Interesting way to ask the question. Yes, I felt the NEED to feel bad, but don't actually feel all that bad. While it is tragic, he made some very poor decisions that lead to his death. It is just a relief he didn't kill anyone else. I feel worse for his family having to go through all this.

In most cases you have to feel bad when stuff like this happens! If you don't then you don't have a heart! Yes he did do it to himself but nobody is perfect! We are human we make bad decisions and in his case he lost his life! There are a ton of scumbags out there who we all would have been better off with dying that night! The one saving grace from it is that no one else was killed!!!

Well, this is coming from a HUGE st.louis cardinals fan and I did feel sad, not bad, knowing that the cardinals and the entire st.louis community lost one of their own, regardless of what he did before his death. I mean, Josh Hancock is gone and is never going to come back. How can anyone not feel sad about this, even just a little bit.

No. I didn't know him. As you said, given the situation, it's fortunate that he didn't kill anybody else. It's a tragic loss for his friends and family...but many people die every day under circumstances which are out of their control. This was not the case for Josh Hancock.

Yeah, I'm a huge sports fan so when someone in the sports world dies I do feel saddened because I follow these guys everyday. I don't blame the guy for having fun... look at it this way -- he was young, single, rich, etc.. and he was living the good life. That's the life I want to live.

I feel bad for his teammates and family, and I'm never happy to see someone die regardless of making bad decisions. I am, however, also glad that he didn't take anyone else with him. That would have made this go from sad to tragic.

I don't feel any worse for him than he would have felt if the same thing had happened to me.
In other words, I shrugged and said "that's too bad".
People die every day. It's life.
