The Wings. I have alot of respect for the Ducks, defense: AMAZING. However, Look at the Wings first 2 series. Everyone says the Wings are too finesse. Are you a complete idiot!? Did you not watch the first 2 series? The Flames and the Sharks were 2 of the most physical teams in the playoffs, and they were betting that was their advantage. We beat them at their own game, we were physical when we had to be, and turned to finesse and control when they lost their heads. Dont underestimate the Wings, the Flames and the Sharks did, and look where it got them.

The last few terrible playoff appearances did a great service to the Wings. Now not only do they get to play with the confidence of a #1 seed, but they get to play with a chip on their shoulder for being seen as the underdog in every matchup because of previous early exited playoffs.

I see that alot of Ducks fans talk about age. That is one of the dumbest things to say. I agree we're older, no argument about that. But, you have to understand, you dont get this far, playing more games in the first and second rounds than Anaheim, Ottawa, and Buffalo, by being TOO old for playoff hockey. That is just not a feasible argument.

I hold the Duck defense in high regard, and agree they have the edge on that side of the puck. But as a team? I believe the Wings prevail.

Hell of a series, hell of a playoff, God I love this game.

I want to say the Wings, but the Ducks have a great team. They have better depth of front, two defensemen that are worth more than all five of ours (apart from Lidstrom) put together, and a goalie that doesn't cough up the puck outside the crease once or twice a game. It will be a really tight series, and Detroit can't afford for Hasek to keep acting like an amateur defenseman. That could be the series right there. That said, it is the NHL, and you simply cannot predict what will happen. If the Wings play their game and Hasek keeps his butt in goal, anything could happen. I am definitely not going to Vegas with this one.

this may be corresponding to the Avs, Wings sequence in '02. A squeker this night and then a substantial @$$ whooping on the ducks in recreation 7. Come on people! Do you truly want a set stated as the ducks to pass on? The are a mockery!

Ducks have them beat in everything Giguere is a much better goalie. Pronger and Scott Niedermayer are a better defense then Lidstrom and whoever they put with him. Selanne and McDonald are better offense then Zetterberg and Datsyuk. And the fact we have younger and very talented players the Ducks aren't a bunch of old farts a lot of the Red Wings talent is with there older players the Ducks oldest player is only 36.

So I am saying the Ducks.

GO DUCKS!!!!!!!

Detroit doesn't stand a chance. The only team that could've competed w\em (the ducks) shot themselves in the puck. Detriot is to finese and allow to much time to develop their shootin' on goals. The ducks will swarm em and whose gonna stop em? The ducks defense w\Pronger and the twins will put Hasek in a ice coldron. The ducks sweep em. end of story.
