Football trivia: name the player who made the tackle from the sidelines but wasn't in the game?

This is trivia from the 50's or 60's. The player was on the sidelines at the time but wasn't on the field playing. (he was offense and defense was on the field, Ibelieve) I forget the player and the team!

Who was Hot and who was not during the World Cup?

I would consider Portugal and Ukraine as pleasant surprizes. The Ukranians did what they had to go to the final phase and yes, they faced the Swiss who are not exactly a powerhouse, but a quarterfinal is not so bad for a first World Cup appearance, huh? Most would say that Portugal played on 'steroids' during the Euro 2002 because they were the host nation, but they silenced a few critics this time arround. As for the favorites that didn't make it? The Czechs - please..... I lost so much money on that game against Ghana who turned up to be not a bad team themselves.
