This is trivia from the 50's or 60's. The player was on the sidelines at the time but wasn't on the field playing. (he was offense and defense was on the field, Ibelieve) I forget the player and the team!

If you want to find it, search NFL rules. A rule was actually develop specifically because of this play. They awarded the guy a TD.

The team was Alabama.....but I forget the guys name. He talked a fella and they gave him the touch down......I remeber seeing him...."I was just so full of Alabama".....then laughter broke out. The tackler and the guy that got talked was on some show.....but sorry....no name.

His name was Dicky Maegle, a reserve back at Alabama.
