I'm getting kind of tired of people talking about the incident between Zidane and Materazzi, so let's change subjects..

Honestly, in my opinion Buffon's performance during this last match was a bit... disappointing. For being called the "best goal keeper in the world" wouldn't you think he could have AT LEAST caught one (just one) penalty shot?

Consider: Italy VS France 1 - 1. Italy actually beat France's defence twice to hit the back of their net. One goal allowed the other called offside. France never found the back of Italy's net in the entire 120 minutes of play but was merely awarded a goal via a penalty kick. Do you not think that Zidane's despicable behavior pretty much sums up France's frustration? Hoza South Africa 2010!!!

Zidane, the best player on the French Team headbutted another player from Italy. Why the hell did he do that? He basically lost the game for France. Because he would have scored a penalty goal instead of Trezeguet who missed. He wronged the whole team by acting selfish. Zinedine Zidane, WHY?!

Are you as upset as I am with the Reds for teasing us ( the fans ) with a 23 - 12 start and then proceeding to fall apart? The bullpen and the defense suck, and lately the starting pitching has begun to fail. I guess as long as baseball continues to operate under its present structure, small market teams such as the Reds can no longer hope to be competitive.

I read from another forum that the Italian Materazzi appeared to pinch and twist Zidannes nipple as he let go of him in the penalty area, Zidannes first reaction was shock and when he realised what had happened I think he lost his temper. Watch the replay carefully he twisted his hand as he let go.

I had France's back all the way even though this game seemed a bit lackluster. But what I CAN'T stand to see is outright unsportsman-like conduct. A head butt??? Not even in the heat of the moment if you ask me. Did he want off the field after Henry left? Was the team not following his lead and he just said 'forget it'? Feedback please, cuz I'm at a loss.

It really wasn't his fault. He just said something to the dude, that don't give him the right to butt him in the chest. doesn't he know he has a hard head? if I were him I would've waited until after the match. Hasn't he heard of the Italian Mafia? if I were him I'd probably be looking forward to the day of the Don's daughter's wedding. It was also partly the coaches fault. He should've taken him out. Zidane was hurt, pissed, tired and old.
