Like the commentator said -- 1st they broke German hearts (sob!) and now French hearts. B's!! I want to yell out a string of abuses but I don't want Y! to kick ME off!!!! Getting Zidane --the player of the DECADE sent off???!!

It must have been something really bad or Zidane wouldn't have head-butted him and gone off and left his team --I didnt even see him come back for his medal!! Poor guy! What an end to an awesome career --He was -(I still want to say 'is')- untouchable. Not 1 foul the whole World Cup. What a guy!!

Zidane- has his own song, a player with charisma, was supposed to get 'The golden ball' award, supposed to have a movie made after him --and now??? So sad how life has a way that 1 moment can change your whole life. I want to believe that there are 2nd chances, but I just don't know what to think now. When France won against Portugal, all of them were jumping around like lunatics, thrusting around probably worse than Shakira!- but Zidane, such a gentleman to the end, stood his ground, smiling, hugging people. You know what Im happy that Italy won because they've been a good team for many years now...so they sorta deserved to win. France just got lucky. I really wonder what Materazzi said to Zidane to get him so pissed off and making him use violence instead of ignoring him or using words. Then again you never know with the Italian team, there has been so much cheating going on in their leagues lately. They could have planned to say something to him that would likely get Zidane to react and red carded. The Italians needed that. So therefore, I think that you can never really find out what really went on. Its both players faults for their words and actions. Anyways, Forza Italia! :) This has been a good world cup! Italia won so everyone get over it and move on.

Materazzi was well. In the replay, they were talking Materazzi started it and you could already tell that Zidane was getting mad and that Materazzi was teasing him or something. If you ask me I think that Materazzi was teasing and talking stink about Zidane and Zidane's home land, Family, frends, teammates. You know stuff like that. I think that Materazzi should have gotten sent out of the game too.

You say now Meterazzi is the fool. No, Zidane could also say whatever he wanted, but what he did is definatly not high class as everyone things. He was a good player, nobody can say he wasn't, but his reaction was unfair and not sport!
He deserved his red card, and more he should be suspended from football in any manner for this. Even a stupid player wouldn't do this, but a "high class" player like Zidane?? I think it's just "very low class" football or sport what he played!

i have no idea, but i dont think anything he did was worth teh headbutt zidane gave him. bad sportsmanship, really sad to see at such a high level and class.

The two of them like ran into each other, they got mad, and they were kind of arguing with each other. After the French guy turned around and headbutted him. Rather stupid on his part!
