Of the two teams that played today, Italy was the better. Were they the best team in the 2006 World cup? They were today. Brazil and Argentina are powerhouses but the rest of the world is learning to play them and beat them. I'd like to see the US team get better.

Deseerved? They EARNED it by being the better team (what a concept. Working to achieve an end, rather than having it given to you).

no it didn't: Portugal, Brazil, Ukraine, Spain, Germany and England played better.
but compared to France, that was almost eliminated after the first round, yeah, they deserved
