Suppose a beast came out of the sea with 7 heads and 10 horns, the mouth of a lion, and the feet of a bear. Suppose additionally that a second beast came out of the earth and had "two horns like a lamb and spake like a dragon" (Revelation 13:11). Suppose that second beast demanded that you worship the first beast.

Would be apprehensive, or would you just go along with it? Would you think that maybe the prophecy is coming true?

If God wanted those people to believe, don't you think he would have shown some sign other than stories in the Bible?

Like go make all Atheists start to simultaneously see some sort of image of something that would make them believe? And for the ones that just think they hallucinated like suddenly ???

But don’t you think he would do something or say something to help people believe?
Like I tried talking to god, and he’s a good listener because he never answered me. It’s about like talking to your pillow and hoping it will talk back. God never helped some of my sick family members get better even after they prayed to him all night and day for a miracle that never came.

I have heard this spoken many times and today someone said that to my face. Ironically the person who quoted it didn't know herself.

Does anyone know which verse or chapter this phrase is from?

my husband for financial help after all these years of no communication. The father has missed all of his grandchild's milestones and all of our family's milestones.

I'm really torn about this because as the Bible tells us to honor our father and mother, but a large part of me feels they should honor their children, too. The father's choice to cut himself out of my husband's (and our family's) life has really put us in a bad place now when he needs help. Incidentally, the JW siblings have chosen to follow their father's lead, but they're not coming through with the cash.

Christians, help me see this as Christ would, please.

"Some of these cosmologist pretend the subject (referring to the claim that the universe is made of atoms, dark matter, and dark energy) is nearly over, 'we just have to do a few more observations and computer calculations' "

"I think they are missing the whole message of scientific history, which is 'the greatest obstacle to progress in science is the illusion that we know what is going on, when we don't ' "

If the report button was changed for an "Ignore user" button instead? The function is that you cannot see the selected users answers and questions anymore, and the abuse of the report button would, of course, stop.

... about a new cashless monetary system wherein a 'mark' is involved in the form of somthing on or in the body, in order to buy or sell ..? Would that make you worry about ' maybe the prophecy was right? ' ... i think what im asking is would you see it as just a coincidence and go along with the new system or be apprehensive enough to reject it?

I'm confused, if it is true that the Catholic Church upholds all of God's 10 Commandment Law, (which differs from the KJV in the way that it appears that commandment 1 and 2 and 3 have been combined), Well about the second commandment in the KJV regarding idolity and graven images, how is bowing and praying to all the saints and idols justified?

I was raised as a Roman Catholic and studied the first eight years in a Catholic school. I'm interested in learning about different religions (Judaism, Islam, & Buddhism to start) but I prefer not to learn from "traditional" sources (i.e., those which might have an agenda, like religious institutions). I have many different books in which I'm interested in reading, but I'd really like to set up a curriculum for myself. I've tried searching for different ideas and information online, but have not been able to find anything that I feel will best apply some traditional methods to my studies - at least for an adult, anyway. If anyone has any advice on and/or experince in finding "lesson plans" for (self-)teaching religion to an adult, I'd be most appreciative.

...and still recruiting...

All those years at CC Costa Mesa, 3-4 services on Sudays and 1-2 every weekday, the school and the store. It's got to be one of the most profitable businesses in the Orange County. Where has all the money gone. Absolutely zero accountability in the name of God. so sad.

I started going to a new church and accepted the Lord a few months ago. It's not a cult or anything, just a good, Bible-believing Baptist church. The problem is one of the things they teach is that Deuteronomy 22:5 requires that men and women should dress differently. After much Bible study and talking to other girls in my Sunday school class, I felt convicted to start dressing modestly, quit wearing pants and always wear dresses and skirts. I feel this is something that God wants me to do and I won't be talked out of it. The problem is my mom just keeps giving me grief all the time about it, she's sort of a feminist, unfortunately. How can I convince her that this is my decision and what I think is the right thing to do? She doesn't have to agree with me, but she should at least respect my decisions. By the way, I'm 19 now and legally an adult.

Did He not say in the Bible three things that pertain to His nature; "I am not man..." "I do not lie..." "I the L-rd am G-d, I do not change."
The answers I read are good answers, for Christians 'defending' the faith, but as a human being, is it not for us to learn to be like Him? Where He like have the world stand still for Joshua, these people were bloodthirsty, child sacrifice aand all. Their crimes brought the Devine retribution on them. In fact, human sacrifice, more than idolitry--worship of a physical object/person/animal--lead to more punishment. But, then, talk about change ina being that states He does not change; one item that Jews and Christians who convert to Judaism find hard to swallow is this--How can any person who reads the Torah, which He said is eternal, can believe that HaShem(G-d)had somehow changed His mind about prohibiting HUMAN SACRIFICE! This, for a G-d centered Jew is beyound Belief! My trinity is HASHEM, TORAH & ISRAEL! Shalom and a happy and safe New Year

Isn't it just mind boggeling that those two little bastards are free? I mean... I don't care if they were only 10 when they commited that crime... they should have been sentenced to DEATH!! now they "did their time" and are out and free to have kids of their own. they are even being protected!! Little James Bulger never had a chance to even grow to be 3 yrs old... little lone have a family of his own.

Who agrees with me on this. If it were my son... i'd hunt those murderers down and kill them.... and their families for raising their children to be killers!!

eye for an eye!! that is what I say.. they meant to kill that boy!!

After going through some of the other questions centered around vampires i was unable find any that refered to or connected with the idea of "spiritual vampires" .

Those who feed off of the life forces , energies of other humans around them.
Here key word is feed off of, I have come in contact with some lately that if they can not feed off of the emotions, feelings, and life sources of others, They seem to create what they need in others and then move in.

Fear, hate, love, laughter,
Obviously seperate catagories.

What I am looking for is INPUT from you guys as to whether there are vampires who live off of other humans around them . To what degree.

I know that we live in a world where" it is eat or be eaten. Some do not believe that.

So i look forward to your input and interest.
You can also email me at my personal email.
