Because Christians Gave more facility to lower class people
and they became Christians.It is fact because i used to have

But when Jesus said "Except ye eat my flesh." it was his subtle way of calling them maggots, but they didn't get it -- consequently church folks have a whole big holy ritual surrounding that ad lib facetious remark.

This has been my conclusion as I studied the whole scenario as it was recorded by Jesus' official biographers, but if I'm mistaken could you please explain?

The biggest difficulty is this: why would God spend hundreds of years preparing his chosen people for the coming of the messiah, only to have him conclude his ministry by talking about people eating his flesh?

I challenge you to show me anywhere in the Biblical prophecies, that the topic of eating the messiah's flesh would come up.

(im catholic) is it just me or does everything that every "STRONG" christian says about harry potter s***? its a fictional character! he is not some demon that god will hate you for and send you to hell if like him! i enjoy the series myself, and yet im still a strong catholic. nothing bad has happened to me yet!

I do not understand why creationists distrust radiometric dating methods. If you set 5 clocks at the same time, left them overnight, and came back and they all had the same time, you would assume that all 5 clocks are working correctly. However, if scientists use 5 different types of radiometric dating methods to date the Earth and come up with the same age with every single method, they disregard it without a second thought. Then they use a few famous examples like the live snail being 5000 years old to try and show that radiometric dating is wrong. If one of those 5 clocks failed, would you disregard all clocks and start looking at the sun for the times????

Why do you think that there is no god becuse modern science tells us that matter dosent go and create its self on its own.
so sum 1 had have to make the big bang cuz we all know just like a painting has a painter....the univers has to have a maker..

that is based on when God finished Creation instead of the currently used Roman calendar, which is based on Roman gods/goddesses and the various rulers of Rome? I mean, it isn't like Jesus didn't have a calendar back then. If you really follow Jesus and believe in the God that Jesus said to worship, shouldn't you be using God's calendar instead of Caesar's? Doesn't 2 Peter 3:7-13 and Revelation 21:1 make it quite clear otherwise? It says in 2 Peter 3:10 "...that the heavens will disappear with a roar." And, didn't God in Christ make all that is visible according to John 1:1-3, no matter whether one believes Him to be divine or not? So, why on earth (pardon the pun) can't He also destroy in totality what He has made? Our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29!) Fire from earth won't get the job done! "Elements" in 2 Peter 3:12 in the Koine Greek makes it very clear that this involves ALL the "stuff" that makes up what is visible. Does not this include all the universe? You bet. And, the words "first earth and first heavens passing away" in the koine Greek means just that in Rev. 21:1. It means that EVERYTHING, (all in the first "order", the universe and the earth), will cease to exist any longer! So how can one possibly do interpretation jockeying around this with a clear conscience, using Bible verses that are not as clear cut as this?

I don't hang out in R&S much, but just recently I heard about ceiling cat. I googled, it's funny, but I'm curious about its origins and deeper meaning - if there is one.

Jesus said he upon this rock(the confessionf that christ was the Son of God) I will build my church.

But I look around and see many different churches that taech many different beliefs.

One of my roommates is gay and Catholic. She told me that the Bible says that the thought is the sin, but the Catholic Church teaches that BEING gay isn't a sin, only ACTING on homosexual impulses is.

These two claims seem to conflict? Are homosexual desires sinful (being) or is it only homosexual sex (act)?

((Obviously, as an atheist I don't believe either, but I'm curious to hear from a Christian perspective))

If you don't, aren't you willfully disobeying God, and if you disregard it more than once (or even continually) aren't you saying that you don't care what Jesus says, you don't want to listen and would rather go to Hell than obey his words?

I'm asking because earlier it was brought to my attention a couple verses that I had long forgot: In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said: "Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again." (Luke 6:30, repeated in Matthew 5:42 where he says "Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away").

Go ahead and read the verses around it. This is not a parable, nor is it taken out of context. So theologically speaking, shouldn't Christians either do as Jesus says, or accept that they really don't believe in him enough to follow his word literally?

if life is like hell, and you cant bear it, most of the solution for this would be suicide, a permanent solution to a temporary problem. But what if the problem is permanent? ie cancer patient waiting to die without hope of recovering. And decides to commit suicide, would he go to hell? where exactly does bible mention that?

what about a teenager who seem to be so stressed, and hurt (his problems maybe not be permanent but seems as if it is) decides to commit suicide, would that be the same case?

life maybe like a torcher to some, when they cannot find god nor hope, maybe god made some of us to sacrifce ourselves for the beneficial to society, ie this boy was bullied and commited suicide leaving all the other boys who bullied him feel guilty and swear never to do that again.

make sense? i think suicide is up to us, god made us, yet, wouldnt he want us not to suffer in life?

any thoughts will be appreciated

Which one in the trinity do you guys pray too? The Father, Son, or holy spirit?

The bible says to pray to Father God, do you? Or do you pray to Jesus?
