Yes and it is personal and ongoing. I communicate with him on a regualr basis through prayer.

When I was a child, I was raised in the church but I didn't have a close and personal relationship with God. Many years later, when I was an adult, I encountered a situation in which a man was going to kill me. He called and told me that he was going to do it. My wife was very frightened but I was determined that I would get him first. My wife insisted that we have the preacher over and talk with him about what to do. I had no interest in talking to a preacher but agreed to do it for her benefit. I already knew what I was going to do. He came and at a point he said that he wanted to pray with us. I was anxious for him to leave and looked up at the clock just as he was about to pray. The next day, the guy who was going to kill me called and said that he wanted to meet with me and that he had something very important to tell me and that I had nothing to fear from him. I placed my .44 mag. where I could reach it quickly if I needed it. He came over to my house and I was standing where I could grab my pistol if he made any agressive move. He walked up and held out his hand to shake mine and asked for my forgiveness. As we stood there shaking hands he told me that last night he felt God speak to him (he was not a Christian at the time). He said that God asked him how he could expect forgiveness from God if he could not forgive me and ask for my forgiveness in return. All I could do was ask when that happened. He told me that it was as he was driving home from work. It was at the exact time that the preacher was praying for God to resolve our problem. It was at that moment that I realized that the God of whom I had heard every time I was taken to church was real and he actually answered prayer. That night I asked Him to cleanse me of all my sins and he did. Now, I know where I will spend eternity.

BTW, the man who was going to kill me is now an ordained minister. We are now the best of friends and we have prayed together on many occasions. God is good.

i think of its plenty greater substantial to have a private relationship with God than to easily take place at church as quickly as each week. shall we face it, some anybody is in church for motives different than worshiping. you may disagree with the pastors attitude on something. You and that i could desire to study the bible 15 circumstances a chunk, and nevertheless have a distinctive opinion a pair of particular financial disaster or verse. i think of of the pastors message as conformation fairly than the suitable interpretation.

Yes I have a personal relationship with God through Jesus, not becaue I go to church every sunday or because I rant and rave about him, but because I talk to him I tell him my fears and doubts and wishs and goals. I study his book the Bible and I know that on judgement day that if I truly didn't know Jesus and God, but say oh yes my savior I knew you, remember I am Krystal. But he will say, I never knew you, now leave. It is like when someone tells you they know someone famious, and you ask, well how do you know them and they say, well one time when I was in Vegas I say them on the street corner and I said hi. That is diffrent then If someone tells you they know Brad Pitt and you ask them how and they say, oh well we were room mates in college then after college we moved in togather and I ended up hooking him and Jennifer up. Do you see the sinerios are different. In my case I truly know Jesus and God, that is because I talk to them. And I listen to what they say through the Bible. It says in the Bible that if you preach on the street corner you will surly have your reward, but if you pray in the quiet of our own home you will surly be rewarding openly. Now I will tell you my own and very personal experience. When I was younger I was raped. But I couldn't stick to no. I always had such a hard time saying no to someone sexually and it was difficult for me to stick to my guns. But then I prayed that God give me a chance to say not and stick to my guns. Then about a day or two later I was riding the school bus and this boy came up to me a grabbed me and tried to feel my boobs and get into my pants, then I just said no. Let go of me, you will not touch me. Then the boy just coward down and said, ok. I was so supprised and just felt to powerful! Not several years later, I can say no to someone easily and God have given me that strength. But I will not force you to belive but someday something will happen to you and you will belive. Just read the bible and learn what you should do. The day will come.

i do because every thing with God is personal. only He knows what is best for me. only He knows what I like and dislikes. only He knows why i choose Something over something else. That's why it's personal.

but sometime i do invite friends to invoke God together. :) because i know that He has never ending resources. :)

happy new year to you. may He make it easy for you and shows you the right path.

I DO have a relationship with God. All you need to do is to pray. Talk to Him, ask questions, then be still for the answer. It takes time to develop any relationship, just be open to it. God loves you and wants this relationship with you.
Peace,
Cathy
