I do not understand why creationists distrust radiometric dating methods. If you set 5 clocks at the same time, left them overnight, and came back and they all had the same time, you would assume that all 5 clocks are working correctly. However, if scientists use 5 different types of radiometric dating methods to date the Earth and come up with the same age with every single method, they disregard it without a second thought. Then they use a few famous examples like the live snail being 5000 years old to try and show that radiometric dating is wrong. If one of those 5 clocks failed, would you disregard all clocks and start looking at the sun for the times????

I just think that would be too much work when you have to kepp putting them forward an hour in March and back an hour in October. Besides you can just phone the speaking clock can't you?!

No, I'd go outside and use ancient knowledge to see which one is correct. Radiometric clocks are screwy anyhow, they go by radio signals, and have to be pointed in certain directions, and away from certain objects. You know your body produces about 1.5vlts of electricity. That will even tamper with the setting.

this is a shorter answer than the one that just disappeared while I was running a spell check. It was greatly detailed, too bad I don't waste my time. hope this helps a bit. AND I HAD EVERY OTHER ANSWER COVERED IN DETAIL! I don't like computers at times.

You know, at first glance I thought this question was an offensive move against atheism. You know, five clocks telling the same time - five religions speaking of a god and an afterlife....

The holy dude is right because he says that god told him so. Therefore everyone else is wrong and must be corrected by whatever means are available. Thinking for yourself is the worst of all possible sins.

lol I'm an atheist. I love it when people try to claim that radiometric dating is wrong. I guess some people would rather believe nonsense than give up their blind faith.

I'm a Christian who believes the Earth is billions of years old. I don't think that conflicts with the Bible account of Genesis. You should read it very carefully and use a concordance.
