If atheists believe the vast majority of society is living their lives based on a false premise, shouldn't they be much more concerned?

Why should they be concerned?
Religion is the "opium of the masses" - in a lot of cases, it keeps people together, gives them hope, gives them someone to blame (surprisingly important), etc. Why should the atheists take this away? Talk about starting more trouble where none is needed.
Besides, there are plenty of atheists on here.

We don't mind if other Christians are living under a false premise, we aren't. And many atheists might not feel that Yahoo RS is a good median to get our point across.

I suppose because atheism is not a religion, therefor they do not need evangelists to "convert" the masses. It's my belief that you should take responsibility for your own actions and morals, not try to shove them down someone else's throat. I'm a gnostic pagan Christian, very happy living my life of false premise, (Lol) but I have several atheist friends who agree with me.

Because most people believe in a religion.
why would they be concerned?
They choose not to believe in a Deity and others do. It's like one person at a party who drinks juice while the rest drink wine, they don't worry about the others drinking wine or wonder where the other juice drinkers are do they?

I'm an atheist, I'm here and I'm not concerned about anything.

Just to clarify...I'm French and where I come from, nobody's go to church unless it's Christmas or you get married or you're a very old widow who survived all your friends so you go to church to see other old widows.

There are lots of atheists here. And I am concerned. It's the christians that go through life all Lolly Lolly Lolly.

We are a pretty outspoken group in spite of all the negative ideas that people have about us. I think a lot of us are concerned.
