...and still recruiting...

All those years at CC Costa Mesa, 3-4 services on Sudays and 1-2 every weekday, the school and the store. It's got to be one of the most profitable businesses in the Orange County. Where has all the money gone. Absolutely zero accountability in the name of God. so sad.

A. I was going to CC in Costa Mesa for years before I fell for their trap of recruiting for dollars and not God.

B. I took a look at the website and after some recommendations and I still see this church being a cash cow in the name of God. This is from one of the schools- keep an eye on discount rate...

"The tuition rates for the 2007-2008 school year will be:

* Grades K-6: $4,310
* Grades 7-8: $4,560
* Grades 9-12: $6,100
* All Day Kindergarten: $7,000

Tuition is payable in 10 monthly payments, due the first of each month from August through May.
Discounts:

Multiple child discounts are:
2nd student: $500 discount
3rd student: $1,000 discount
4th student on: no tuition"

isn't God great?

I don't know if you are a member, visitor or just someone who's concerned. Anyway, check out their website and look at the vast ministries that they are involved in. Look at their extensive youth dept and the enormous teaching material available and utilized in the spiritual growth and development of their members, potential believers and radio listeners! It's incredibly enlightening, inspiring, encouraging and strenthening! Calvary has high quality staff, mixed with those that have prepared themselve educationally and some who have plain 'ole mother wit. Some have both! Look at their involvement in missions throughout the world as well as
in their own backyard! If this doesn't convince ya' then just go visit and talk with their Pastor! Led by the Holy Spirit with a desire to please God and serve His people, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith....well, perhaps you think I'm a little carried away? Perhaps. I'm not a member, but I've ben a recipient of the grace of God thru this ministry and my heart has been encouraged and the teaching ministry entrusted into my care in the vineyard assigned to me has been blessed and increased by it for for more than 10 years! How do you know it has zero accountability? That cannot possibly be true, not even in the real world. The IRS is one place that requires all entities, nonprofit/profit to exhibit and excercise "due care" and provide information in a "prudent" and auditable manner. The documents and compliance regulations that govern churches are extensive. Requirements to maintain the 501(c) status are more stringent than ever before. There are many audit controls in place to minimize misappropriation of funds. Many people have questions like yours and I'm sure other questions as well...but often they aren't involved in the planning, or in the trenches building ministries or co-laboring with other saints in the existing ministries that develop, strengthen, or bring others to Christ. They are more spectators than participators. But the harvest is vast! There's not enough time to tear down...we've got to build each other up and get involved in the work...while we still have breath...
Thank God for Pastor Chuck Smith, Pastor Raul Ruiz...and others! Thank God for the mighty men of valor and all those that serve with them. Including my own Pastor. We thank God for them and participate in holding their arms up in what ever manner...God grants us strength to do so.
