Suppose a beast came out of the sea with 7 heads and 10 horns, the mouth of a lion, and the feet of a bear. Suppose additionally that a second beast came out of the earth and had "two horns like a lamb and spake like a dragon" (Revelation 13:11). Suppose that second beast demanded that you worship the first beast.
Would be apprehensive, or would you just go along with it? Would you think that maybe the prophecy is coming true?

An earthquake uncovers a mattel plastic action figure at a local dump ~ 1972 model ~ with two horns like a lamb yammerin' like a dragon when you push the button demanding that you worship the first beastly plastic action figure?
Is prophecy fulfilled?
I suppose Y! considers religion & spirituality to be closely related to jokes & riddles. That's just RUDE sho nuff.

I would never go along with it for common sense reasons. I know what those "marks" would involve: a microchip, including a GPS system. In other words, our government would be able to track where we are at any given moment. It sounds very scary to me.
