I am 55 now, but when I was just 6 years old my grandfather made me cry because he told me I was going to hell because my father( his son) allowed my mother to take us to the Baptist church.

My grand father was a Jesus Only Apostolic United Pentecostal and their doctrine was they are the only one true church and all others are hell bound.

Do you feel my grandfather was wrong or was he just a strong believer? all my dad's people were of this faith and I grew up with all of them telling me I was going to hell for being a Baptist.

another similar incident was when I was sixteen I spent a week with my mothers uncle who was a baptist preacher. My dad's brother lived on the next street over so I spent some time with him and he told me many times I was going to hell unless I left the Baptist church and started going to the United Pentecostal church

I am not talking about speical situaiton rape, medical etc. Even though those aborted have a right being a minority.

Yes it sounds morbid but no more than killing a innocent baby child that hasn't had to make a choice.

The adult has a choice the child doesn't.

Where there is no self control there is an abortion. Oh you ask what is self control it is being responsible for your actions and not killing a child for your own selfish desires.

I know Muslims believe that a fake will come called the Dajal, and Jesus will kill it....

It's pretty obivous that Christians state Jesus will come back,

But what do Jews have on the opinion?

No offensive please, thanks.

Is there a religion that is truly united in it's beliefs no matter where in the world they are. I mean, if left here (United States)and moved to another country, for instance. iIke China or Thailand, Tanzania or Scotland, could I find the exact teaching there as well? A religion totally united? Is there one? I would think that if there was one, that would be the one that has God's blessing.

...could anyone tell who went where? "All gods are false because all cannot be proven and the ones who follow them die". Bottomline of reality. That does not prove that no god exists.

I've heard they do this so that they can determine if you are paying enough tithes? Is this like buying your way to heaven?

So, this past weekend I went to go visit my fiance's parents. This trip was meant to just be a time where they could gte to know me and my 2-year-old boy. Also, My fiance's dad is our minister for the wedding (he also married both of my fiance's sisters). This weekend, however, ended up being a nightmare. His dad read us the ceremony he prepared without us, and it included about 5 passages from the bible that he beleives in, but I dont. (note: I am Catholic, and their family is Born-Agains) So now, because the ceremony is suppose to be in my parents backyard, my dad is furious about the passages (stuff about a helphand? and man is higher than woman???). Finally, I just asked my fiance if he could tell his dad to eliminate all passages he had, and that him and I should look for them ourselves, to find some that better describe us. Did I do the right thing? Anyone have any other suggestions for what I could do? (sorry this is so long :( )

There, your children will stand up and be a warrior for science, but in a much funner way! They will worship at the feet of a Charles Darwin cut out.

If Palestinian Children are willing to die for Allah, and Jesus Camp Children are willing to die for Christ, shouldn't your children be scientifically literate enough build their own body armor to protect themselves from such nut bags?

Within the next year or two scientists will likely create life from raw chemicals.

I just wonder if this will have any impact on how people view their religion or faith.

"Communion in the hand has not been, and will not be accepted by Heaven. This is a sacrilege in the eyes of the Eternal Father, and must not be continued, for you only add to your punishment when you continue on in the ways that have been found to be unpleasing to the Eternal Father." - Our Lady of the Roses, June 30, 1984

It was a message from the blessed virgin Mary given to the visionary namely Veronica Lueken.

I know the answers are in that link but still I don't understand why it is bad to receive the communion in the hand.

I Judge who I let my children play with I judge who I let into my life. we must judge people or we will be hanging out with the wrong people.God Is the judge of eternal life but we must judge our selves first and then use good judment when it comes to others.

Not your everyday question I know, but you have an Avatar, you have a look, you have a shell, your skin and hair, the way you look to other people is just flesh and bone.
But who exactly are you, inside? Who is the spirit that is you, reading this?
