Is there any real proof, I mean did someone see him walk out of the sky and say hello, of God(s). My theory is the Bible was a form or entertainment but some idiot though it was real and based the middle ages of that. Again unless solid proof is given I reject your claim and stick with my own. Or as Adam Salvage puts it. 'I reject your reality and substitute my own" Mythbusters.
Also what solid evadence do we have that a magic force created this. I believe in the Big Bang Theory and my questions stop at the bumps in time and space. Some things are ment to be left alone.

A vigin can not under any matter of modren law give birth unless she went to a sperm bank. Now answer with SOLID PROOF that these things could / could not have happened.

Let it be known that Christianity was born out of oral tradition, and for the 1st 400 years more or less, there was no canon and no official scripture, that is until the Catholic Church made it so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
But how can you say you do not believe in Tradition? As that of the Catholic Church, and yet believe in the birth of Christ on the 25th of December,Easter and other Church celebrated festivals of Christ coming and rising for us,without tradition, since there is no mention of specific dates of these things happening,it is out of Tradition that we believe.
How can you say you dont believe in Tradition? If the Catholic Church is the only Church,Orthodox and Roman, that safeguards the Holy places Christ was born, died and was risen,so that all the world may come to believe,it is out of tradition that these places are known.
And above all how can you not believe in Tradition? When out of Judaism,a tradition, came our Lord and Savior.
Blessed Christmas To All

People say Santa is just a cruel lie to children, others say he is a tool for corporate propanda. Some say he symbolises materlialism and greed.

Me? I think he represents the kind nature of human beings. I think Santa is a wonderful concept and it's a shame such a man doesn't exist.

I do not believe Santa exists physically, but I believe that he does exist in all our hearts. Because though the man does not exist, the things he represents do.

This year, I will give selflessly to my loved ones, and in that way, I will help keep Santa alive. What will you do? Do you believe in Santa Claus?

I heard from someone today the requirement to be saved is to answer yes to all these questions:

Do you think Christ's death and ressurection were sufficient for you to gain eternal life (meaning in the very presence of God- not just to live forever)?

Do you believe Christ paid for your sins- or do you think He paid to give you the opportunity to pay for your own sins?

Well, I can answer those questions with a yes. If that makes me saved, then why does it matter that I am a Mormon?

Jews started worshipping him? No one on earth traces the beginning of their heritage or civilization to the Noah flood story. No one outside of the middle east claims that their ancestors came from Adam and Eve, Abraham, or Noah. They all have different creation stories involving other gods, and the Abrahamic god is an IMPORT to those nations, not the universally accepted god of creation.

The "same god different names" theory can't be true, because if it was then the history of this god would be the same throughout the world. The "world flood" stories would all involve Noah, not just the middle eastern version.

Sounds like a local fabrication to me. How do we know that Moses didn't invent/create/fabricate "God" when he was wandering through the desert? Can anyone name a culture outside of the middle east that traces it's beginnings to Noah's Ark, or was the bible lying when it said that God killed everyone on Earth except Noah and his family?

All true Christians have the Holy Spirit, so whenever they pray, or do anything they are doing so in the Spirit right?

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting "I am saved"

I'm whispering "I was lost"

That is why I chose this way.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble

And need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak

And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed

And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect,

My flaws are all too visible,

But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain

I have my share of heartaches

Which is why I speak His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I do not wish to judge.

I have no authority.

I only know I'm loved.

I was raised as a rather devout Southern Baptist and I still do not know. I went to Church Camp every summer, Church on Sunday morning, night and Wednesday night. I read my Bible and all the Bible stories. I memorized my verses and the names of the Books of the Bibles but was never really taught what the faith was. Part of my problem with it was the fact that they believed that IF one was saved then it didn't matter what one did one was going to Heaven. Caused my dear Mother a world of pain that one at my grandfathers hands.

Why aren't those the main issues for today's Christians instead of abortion and gay rights?

I met a teenage boy over the weekend outside of a church (i guess his youth group is there or something, i was picking up my friend from hers) anyways, we started talking (about the same age) and he told me he was gay. So i started asking him questions about being a Gay in a Christian community.
Apparently he feels BAD about being gay which i think it really sad. They've scared him about going to Hell so much that he's decided to live the rest of his life alone....no love. Ever. He also said he's tried to be straight but it didn't work. He isn't telling his parents ever but he is still never going to actively seek a partner or anything like that ever.

I thought this was really sad and tried telling him that God doesn't care if you like men or women, he just wants yout o be happy (assuming their is a God, I'm sort of on the fence on that one)
a man over heard me and started yelling at me that "sin was sin" and so i just left.

I have this guys number, how can i help him?

Forcing our beliefs on others is wrong.
I had the experience of watching this happen in my own family. One of my daughters joined a church that made her tell all of us that we are going to hell and she didn't want to be near us.
I did do the christian motherly thing with her and went to her church to see for myself what they were teaching her. It took a year to show her THAT church is wrong. They had turned the bible verses to make them what they want. I showed her these cases.
She now stopped going to that church.
Jesus did not judge or force himself on anyone, he also didn't call people names for not following him.

Suppose Catholics decided to start calling themselves Mormons. Suppose we say we believe in Joseph Smith: we believe he walked the earth, founded a church, and was killed by his enemies. We don't believe he was a prophet, and we don't believe the church he founded is the true church. But, we say, we believe in Joseph Smith, therefore we're Mormons.

Would you accept that we are true Mormons? You might say, "sure, you can call yourselves Mormons, I won't stop you; I don't care." But I'm not asking if you care, or if you will allow us to call ourselves Mormons. I'm asking if you would believe that we really are Mormons.

To take it further, what if we went walking through Mormon neighborhoods and told the people that we are Mormons just like they are, and we just want to talk about faith. And we proceed to try to convince them that Catholic beliefs are the true religious beliefs. Under the guise of being Mormons ourselves. Would you have any problem with that?

Subjects of both faith and delusion have similar symptoms of believing characters/creatures/things to exist when there is no physical evidence of their existence at all. Right?

Please be scientific in explaining your argument.

Virgin births
Walking on water
Water turning into wine
Seas Parting
Dead Raised
Lepers/Blind Healed
Burning/Talking Bushes
Iron Floating
Donkeys Talking
Satan Hunting
An Invisible, Three Part God
etc, etc, etc

These things are in the Bible. The only kinds of things that are like these things are found in myth.

Why would God demand that people believe these things when these things are so far removed from reality?

Look at all the God's of all the religions... They look so much like fairy tales.. Christians and Muslims are kings, it seems of rationalization with their exercising of "faith" that they are trying to "Scientificize" their beliefs with scientific evidences which are, at best, sincere, but, as I discovered through intense scholarship - sincerely wrong.
