I heard from someone today the requirement to be saved is to answer yes to all these questions:
Do you think Christ's death and ressurection were sufficient for you to gain eternal life (meaning in the very presence of God- not just to live forever)?
Do you believe Christ paid for your sins- or do you think He paid to give you the opportunity to pay for your own sins?
Well, I can answer those questions with a yes. If that makes me saved, then why does it matter that I am a Mormon?

Isn't Christian a label in all reality? If I'm saved, then why should I be a Christian?

It's not okay to say that about Mormons (or anyone else). People who take it upon themselves to self-righteously judge who's going to Heaven and who isn't, is almost certainly in violation of Christian doctrine by elevating themselves to the role of God.

I agree with the first part of the second question, but I do not believe there is any payment I could 'make' to save myself. As far as saying who is saved and who isn't, I leave that up to the Almighty. Judgement is not a job assigned to me.
That being said, Christians may not agree on doctrine. While I may not agree with ideas put out by the Mormon faith, I cannot affect your relationship with Jesus.

I dont think it is OK for people to say that we are not saved! For this reason - there is only one person who will make that decision - and that is God at the Judgement seat. Personally I would rather live the way that the scriptures and the prophets have revealed to us and know that I am doing all that I can to achieve salvation than to pass judgement on whether people are saved.
Princess Catti-brie VT [Hon.At.] I would say that if you are member in good standing then you are more likely to be saved than those who use this site to sit in judgement of other people beliefs and eternal state.

The only things you lack is to believe that these things could only be accomplished by a person who was both true God and True man and that you must be baptized in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit. Then you are saved.
If you do not accept the divinity of Christ then you believe in a false messiah. And scripture is very clear that you must be baptized and in the name of the co-equal members of the Trinity.
It is not the judgment of man that is in question here, but the Word of God.

The honest reason that it's okay to say Mormons aren't saved is that we have a freedom of speech in this nation. Anyone is allowed to have and voice any opinion, even a stupid one. Do not concern yourself so much with the titles and labels others may put on you. If you believe in God, concern yourself with His Judgment and Salvation. Let the haters say what they want to.

I had a lovely conversation with a baptist minister once and had the opportunity to bear my testimony of my Savior -- he thought it was beautiful -- and commented that I must be 'saved'... until he discovered I was a Mormon...

It's as appropriate to say that Mormons are not saved, until they repent of believing false doctrine, if they do, as it is to say that any one that does not believe in Jesus Christ is not saved.
Mormonism does not adhere to the true doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is founded on another gospel than the one that was once delivered to the saints, and leads people away from Jesus Christ.
Jesus said that many would come in his name, saying he is the Christ and deceive many. Joseph Smith preached about the sign of an angel who gave him golden plates. The bible talks about how the false prophets would show great signs and if it were possible even draw the elect away.
If we cannot judge false prophets and declare when a doctrine is false, then how do we blow the trumpet to sound the alarm when those who would draw believers away from the truth are exposed in the light of the true gospel?

It is not right for anyone to disrespect any religion, whether they think it is right or not. I am Mormon, and I know that it is not true.
