First of all.. you look like the Fonz.. and thats cool. Aaaaayyyy....
I would suggest giving the Bible a lil parooze here and there. Go to a local church, they should give you one for free. Nothing hard core. Just a sign of faith that youre ready to begin.
After all, you are on a journey to find... beleif... and you are the best person to do the research... correct-a-mundo?
God Bless You.

There was an Egyptian king who wanted to see which religion was true, Christianity, Judaism, Islam.
He called a Priest, a Rabbi and an Imam, to see which one would present the best argument.
The Christan priest was told to go first, he said no the Jews were here first so the Rabbi should go first. They argued then agreed for the Imam to go first.
The Imam was asked to present his case, he said, “If the Jews are right then the Muslims and Christians are okay because believe in Moses. If the Christians are right then the Jews have a problem and the Muslims are okay because we believe in Jesus. But if the Muslims are right then the Jews and Christians have a problem because they don’t believe in Muhammad.” (peace and blessings of God be upon him).
Please ask me any questions you like.

Well, personally I already believe that God manifests Himself (exists) within the subjective mental experiences of those who believe in Him. Until the seventeenth century, that would have been enough to convince me to believe. Unfortunately, the scientific revolution occured and essentially proved that the physical realm is actually objectively real. This means, as was later proved by EEG technology, that subjective mental experiences are created entirely by the neurological structures of our living brains. In other words, the fact that science is demonstratably true discredits the most fundamental premises of Christianity. The truth is reality does NOT depend on human mental processes, as Aristotle thought. ...nor does thinking require telepathic communication with the gods, as Plato thought.
Think of it this way: just as the ancients imagined the Sun revolved around the Earth, so too do Christians imagine reality depends upon human mental processes. ...a philosophy called Solipsism. On the other hand, Science is based on the proven fact that the physical realm is actually objectively real -- which means that the physical universe and not the human mind is the actual basis of reality. Before you buy into the elaborate superstitions of Christianity ask yourself, which do you think is the actual basis of reality? ...the entire physical universe, or the human mind? Now ask yourself, how is it we are able to think? ...is thinking an natural property of our living brain, or is thinking ultimately a form of telepathic communication with God?
Please keep in mind that you are perfectly entitled to believe whatever you wish. Just be careful. Christians are full of wonderful mythology and seldom discuss the irrational premises which form the hidden foundation of their faith.
Me? I prefer my science straight up. ...and so I'm an atheist.

You need more information than can be had here but basically it is a religion based on Jesus Christ whoes only commandment was "to love one another." Reading the New Testament in the Bible will give much information also. Going and speaking to a Priest or Minister. Peace

christianity isn't a religion, it's a way of life. its living in this world but following Christ. You must follow Jesus if you want to be right with God. Many will tell you that there are other ways to be saved, but the bible says that "no one comes to the Father except through me" quoted by Jesus, john 14:6

You might find the Belief-o-Matic quiz over at Beliefnet.com helpful:
http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
(You'll probably have to click a "skip this ad" link before it takes you to the quiz itself.)
It matches you up with a wide variety of different religions/philosophies depending on your answers. The results can be surprising.
Good luck on your search. :-)

If you want to understand Christianity, watch how Christians behave. That is the true measure of any faith. The effects it has on the person who believes in it.

Watch the faithful. Watch how they react. That is how you can tell if a religion is false.
