how can i help the homeless this cold seson? Iive in Kansas City and down near and in the plaza you will see alot of homeless people. I always feel so bad for them and it really makes me think and be thankful for all i do have. I don't want to give them money b/c you don't know if they go and spend that money on drugs. what can I do, just some small things to help them? And tell them about the love of God.

You could always bring them sandwiches and hot chocolate.

Check out shelters in your area, so they will have money to pay for heat and food for them. Ask them if there there are other things the shelter may need. You could also cook some small pies or something to give to the ones still stuck on the street. I did when I lived in a city.

money is not what they really need since they don't pay rent or bills, the best thing to do is offer coats,jackets,socks ,warm clothes, some do spend it on things that are not good so I carry around things like I mentioned in my vehicle to pass out when I see a homeless,there is so many places that provide food so clothes and blankets should be you main gift to them, blessings to you for being so loving, tonight I send a message up to the stars in Heaven letting them know you must recieve special treatment in your life because of this,I thank you for warming the heart of this QUEEN

Give them a warm blanket..besides homeless people spend money to bring themselves comfort not on black market dear..i hope not..Give them a warm blanket
Light a bonfire nearby your house, invite your friends and homeless people,..make hot chocolate and enjoy getting to know each other..homeless people are happy to receive anything
or just light a bonfire, share a blanket with them and read the Holy Bible NEW TESTAMENT ..they will see how loving God is through your hospitality

Well god certainly wont help them, but maybe a hot cup of coffee will brighten their day a bit. I usually go to Starbucks and get a big dark roast coffee and a macadamia nut cookie for them. It's a good combo.

You can always donate time, money, food, and clothing to local homeless shelters. Just look them up in your local phone book. They're always looking for volunteers to help out.

Help out at the homeless shelter. Help feed the poor for christmas. Clean newer clothes would be nice.

Get them some blankets. Walgreens has those fleece throws for just a few bucks. And if you're skilled by fleece at the JoAnn's and make a bunch of them.

then get them food, or clothes or something. or donate to homeless charities, then you don't have to do any work, and it doesn't go to drugs. or you could volunteer at a soup kitchen. i'd lay off the god business though. if i was homeless, the last thing i'd want would be someone preaching to me.
