when people ask questions on why christians do this and why atheists do that. basically persecuting each other. when the hard core truth about it is there is bad and good apples in each category. im catholic, but to not be a hypocrit i will add that im not a perfect person, i try not to judge. then why does so many christians(catholic, method., baptis., etc) judge others (not all of course), and why do so many atheists(not all) care about what christians do if they dont believe? im not trying to be a smart a** about this question, i really dont get it.

Lately I have been kind of upset with God, here is why:

People! People who call themselves Christians to be persise. Many of whom would be yelling with a fist in your face "I love you but I hate your sins!!". Frankly the last thing i feel is love when communicating with them. They seem only too happy to pick on other people's 'sins' instead of focusing on their own, and they justify their blantant hatered and bigotry with God (which I think is so wrong). I mean how can they judge another person when they cannot possibly know what it is like to be that person?

I'll be lying if I said that those people don't hurt me, because they do. Maybe I'm being too sensative but I can't help it. So lately I've been feeling kind of upset with God because I'm thinking like "Why don't you show those people just how much they hurt others and how wrong that is?". I know it is not God's fault that they're like that, but why doesn't he do anything to enlighten those people? Am I right to be upset?

I have prayed, fasted and tried to lead a good life by the grace of God for years yet one of the prayers I want answered the most God does not give to me. I am asking for a good thing yet it always evades me. It can upset me sometimes yet I know the Lord is always Good - a paradox in my soul.

Athiests and clowns - just because God does not answer my prayer the way I like does not mean he does not exist. I have faith in him even if he never grants me this desire for he Is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. "HE HAS FILLED THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS Luke 1:53

Scientologist believe that space aliens came to earth millions of years ago, set off H bombs in volcanoes to kill other aliens, and the spirits of those dead aliens (thetans) are the blame for all of mans problems. LOL just like in southpark! They really believe that! And the Mormons believe that Joseph Smith translated golden plates inside a hat (just like in southpark), and that Jesus after his resurrection preached to the native American Indians. First I dont think Joseph Smith really did that, and second if Jesus really was in the Americas dont you think there would have been Christian native americans before the white man came? My real question though is it wrong to think those ideas are stupid? And second how can someone with half a mind believe those things? Maybe I dont know enough, so if anyone would like to tell me more about those faiths, I'm open to info.

If you wish for Creationism or ID to be considered science and have the legitimate opportunity to be taught in science classrooms someone, somewhere will have to provide a testable hypothesis that, if verified through testing, can provide evidence for a creator. No attacks on evolution, we've heard enough of those already... only your positive testable hypothesis please.

Many in Africa and the Middle east are persecuted for practicing Christianity. If you are a Christian, would you be willing to take the punishment for those who were persecuted as a result of you or your church "spreading the word"

Usually punishment is lashing with a whip, a beating, or at times even murder. So would you take the punishment?

I'm an atheist, have examined the possibility of a God from many angles, and have concluded that none exists. However, if there actually is a God, contrary to my beliefs and when the day of judgement arrives, he decides - despite the fact that I have lived in a moral, honest way, but didn't believe in him - that I'm still not going to heaven, then that is definitely a place where I don't want to be. Also if I am rejected from heaven, what are my other options?

The Aramaic Bible mentions "Muhammad" as the next Prophet of GOD Almighty

I was getting shock when I read that "Paraklytos" is actually "Muhammad" in Aramaic - the mother tongue' of Prophet Jesus (p.b.u.h).

Follow me as we trace the Biblical history of this Greek word "Paraclete". Startling as it may seem, at one time the word read "Periklytos" and "Paraklytos", which is the name for "Muhammad" in Greek. Surprising? It should not be because both words mean "Praised" or "Celebrate," the meaning and character of the man "Muhammad." (1 Jesus in The Qur'an, One World Publications, (c) Geoffrey Parrinder 1965, 1995, ISBN 1-85168-094-2. Knowing this, there is a need for us to study the life of Prophet Muhammad in depth to see if it all stands up. Surprisingly it does.

According to Holy Qur'an the name of prophet Muhammad or Ahmad (p.b.u.h) is mention by name in the Gospel (Injeel):

"And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is Ahmad (the Praised One)." (Qur'an 61:6)

If you refer to Song of Solomon in Hebrew scripture, the name 'Muhammad' also mention there, please read Song of Solomon 5:16, it looks like this:

"Hikow mamtaqiym wkulow mahamadiym (MAHAMADIYM=Mohammed) zeh dowdiy wzeh ree`iy bnowt yruushaalaaim."

Why do so many atheists think, that if one believes in God, then they're "extreem". I believe in God, but I'm not a fundamentalist.

I'm not saying all atheists, but a lot of them.

Yesterday I asked an honest question in the wake of some Sudanese begging to have a teacher executed because she let some of her students name a teddy bear "Mohammed." I didn't mention that, but I figured most people were intelligent enough to get it.

SO, my question was this:

Would you kill someone for your religion?

Plus:
Would you kill a child? (Not on: Say, the kid that named the teddy bear)

Would you kill a pregnant woman? (Not on: Say, if the teacher happened to be pregnant.)

But then someone - probably violent religious nutjob - reports it as a community violation.

Before that happened, I was pretty happy about most people making loud declarations of "NO!" I'm all for moral outrage AND HEARING IT.

BUT THEN YAHOO! WENT AND SILENCED BOTH ME AND THE PEOPLE SAYING "NO" AND THAT PISSES ME OFF!!

Granted, there was one jerk whose response was to call names and I reported him for (1) not answering the question and (2) using Ad Hominem attacks.
