Perhaps non-Catholic Christians can approach the altar and receive an ecumenical blessing or something while Catholics receive communion.

Opinions?

I do. I just wish that they could be happy. I wish that whatever happened to them to make them believe didn't happen to them, so that they might be happy, fulfilled people. If only they would see. :( I wish I could do something for them.

What do you think? Do you sometimes feel sorry for Christians?

we are not to question God's word; but we are to study to show ourselves approved. this whole thing makes little to no sense to me. Even Jesus studied the scriptures and this is to be enough for me today 2000 years later? I would think God would want us to ask questions so that we can say without a doubt that his word is 100% truth. Am I just to memories the bible and believe with out understanding?
I always thought there are no foolish questions - only foolish answers.

Everyone has their own beliefs, but why do people feel the need to convince other people to change their beliefs? Why do religious people always feel the need to be right? Don't you just wish there were less religious nuts in the world, and instead people would start thinking for themselves about the ideas of the world? Why does religion have to take up so much time in a religious person's day? Ok, you believe in God, we get it.. now do something else with your life.

This is not an attack on atheism, it's an attack on people who subscrive to the belief that religion is violent and all of its followers are war-mongering. Well even those who lack religion can be just as savage, perhaps the conclusion that should be drawn is that it's human nature and not religion or a lack of it. What about the People's Republic of China? Perhaps some people should consider these two examples next time they make sweeping generalizations about the violence that religion causes. Millions have died last century in fight between capitalism and communism, so why should that be any less horrific?

Was Jesus "Lucifer" all along? He declares himself to be the morning star in Revelations chap 22.

It's all right in your bible. You can look it up on biblegateway.com, and check out a few different translations of the verses too.

If your religion is the right one, shouldn't it be painfully obvious. Don't you think 'god' would make sure everyone knew it? I'm sure that would be easy for your god to do.

On a related note, why would a god need to be worshiped anyway? Does that not sound a little egotistical and childish to you? Believe and worship or suffer eternally? Do you not see anything wrong with this picture?

My best friends husband is Mormon and she is JW.. They have recently starting going to a Mormon church every sunday.. She is doing this to make him happy and she is ok with going..

It is just that she is really confused about some of the things that they say in the church.. Keys to heaven and different levels of heaven. I understand what they are saying, not that I agree but I understand what they are trying to say.

I was wondering if there was a book, other then the book of Mormon, that I might get her to help her understand better.. Sort of a Mormon book for dummies..?

why do christians direct quotes from the bible to athesists, they believe god doesnt exist and the bible is full of contradictions to believe so why do it, putting a quote in won't make a difference.

Or to let it happen? Because of something their distant ancestor did?

Unless they accept Jesus as their personal saviour.

However, if they never got a chance to hear about Jesus, or died too young to understand it...tough luck. It's sizzle time.

I mean, it's kind of sick, no?
