Well I never saw your question before, Now you ask am I willing to investigate the Truth, Friend I have already investigated the truth, In my 37 yrs as a Christian, I have study a whole lot, & I live according to the Apostles doctrine Acts 2:42. What else should I investigate, Where I stand at now, lead me this way during my 37 yrs. as a Christian. Yes I have study some on church history, & on many other denomination ideals,So you are 37 yrs too late to tell me I am wrong. Every true christian will continue in the Apostles Doctrine. BTW what I am now took me 37 yrs. to learn, & I know it is truth. So why not yourself investigate the truth.

Of course I do as it is a matter of eternal significance. As encouraged by the Bible I search the Scriptures and test all things to ensure that the Bible is the truth:

Acts 17:11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word in all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things, hold fast to what is good.

If the Bible cannot stand up to investigation that it is true then it is not the Word of God. As God's Word is spiritual it needs both natural and spiritual understanding to come to know the truth. You cannot get it all with natural understanding alone.

Yes, I did just that when I was in my 20's. I researched everything from my own beliefs to other religion's beliefs to science and the bible. If you don't do the homework, how do you know you have the truth as you said? Some Christians just follow pastor and believe everything he says. He is a man that makes mistakes and interprets the bible his own way, too. That's called being a lazy Christian when you just take everything at face value. Thanks for that question.

Also, pastors believe different things. So how do they know THEIR pastor is believing the right things?

how can you know everything when every other person on this Earth doesn't?? The universe was here before you and long after; it exists in harmony without the input of man and yet you figured it all out; you must be too busy working on the cure for cancer or aids or world peace since you have figured out that which no other man has been able to do since day one; what you figured out today , changes tomorrow and yet you mastered God too?? You believe in nothing ??? you are provided for , protected by and yet you are an accident , a freak of nature??? There is a divine plan but ego gets in the way of seeing that everything is in harmony, you didn't do , you were done; I am tired of people calling out Christians for the sake of their ego .

Hmmm...actually, I'm not a Christian, (not really religious at all), but in any aspect of my life, I'm happy to investigate the truth, whether it proves me wrong or not (admittedly I don't LIKE to be wrong, who does? lol).

You've asked this before...
Convieniently all your Q&A's are private.
So I will humor you:
Your question is contradicting. It states that if I investigate the truth, which I assume is "your" truth, then what I will find is that my religion or faith is completely false, and I should either believe what you believe (if anything) or find another truth. However, your question also leads open the possibility of saying that if YOU were to investigate the truth, you would find that everything I believe is right. So in essence I could flip the question around to you. So:

ATHEISTS: Are you willing to investigate the truth?
...even if it leads to the discovery that everything you don't have faith in is right?

I don't do this though, and here's the reason: You believe what you believe, and I do the same. I have the evidence aplenty for my religion, as I am sure you have evidence against. You can't investigate the truth unless you have an open mind to do so. If both you and I were to fully and completely examine the evidence for both sides of this arguement, you for the disbelief in God and me for the belief, I think we would find that neither one is completely proven, and that they both rely on faith to uphold.
Think about that. Your faith is that there is no God, and thus faith in yourself. My faith is that there is a God, and thus faith in Him. Why try to convince anyone otherwise? The only way you will change your faith is if God comes in flesh and smacks you around a bit appearently, so I don't waste time in witnessing to people like you.
There is no truth that will fully disprove God, there are too many inconsistancies. A philosipher once said that all fact is based on several agreed upon postulates (theories). Isn't that crazy? All the facts and truths out there are only such because a group of people (no matter how small) agree upon them. These facts and truths will only ever change once the group of people are moved toward another group of agreed upon postulates. Don't try to convince someone of something you have already agreed upon.

The "Truth" is, you did not give Life to yourself, and you have no control over how long you will exist! Also, you do not control the breath, heart, or for that matter, any of the functions of your own body! Truth cannot be known through denial!

'truth' has different meanings according to whether you consider the truth is to be attained by investigation or by faith.

all five of aquinas' famous 'proofs' of god's existence were acknowledged to be based on logical fallacies even while aquinas was still alive. but it is anathema to disbelieve them.

that is: you can know a statement to be false, but you must believe it anyway.

believing nonsense is like eating noodles: once you start, you cannot stop.
