If your religion is the right one, shouldn't it be painfully obvious. Don't you think 'god' would make sure everyone knew it? I'm sure that would be easy for your god to do.

On a related note, why would a god need to be worshiped anyway? Does that not sound a little egotistical and childish to you? Believe and worship or suffer eternally? Do you not see anything wrong with this picture?

I am pagan not Christian. so I see things differently. My religion is not for everyone and is not right for everyone. Each person has their own spiritual truth. My religion is Wicca and in my religion Deity does not want or need our worship but does like our fellowship. That may not make any sense to you but that is how we view things, a good many of us anyway. We commune with Deity because we want to, not because we have to or be cast in hell. There is no hell

the bible is supposed to be that written word that is supposed to make sure there is no misunderstandings and we see how ell that worked out by looking around at all the different warring churches.

The words of wisdom describing the painting of birth, life and death in a society of those who believe and those who don't believe in the spiritual rapture of the new beginning.

The death and the judgements of those who are condemned to internal Hell and those who will rise into the Garden of Eden for spirit eternity of the only God, who is God creator of the universes of the unknown, contained in time and space that stretches to infinity, by the unsung myths of a glorious life after death.

I think I will stick to the Essenes and their Teacher of Righteousness battling the Wicked Priest contained within their Egoistically myths of integral peace of mind from not knowing the end of time.

Albeit, if you can make any sense of all that, then I say you are more intelligent than me as my fingers played upon the keyboard of life in answering your question. Now what is it again you asked. Yes two points again.

1. We have felt, seen, and experienced God's hand in our lives. When you notice a thing like that, it's pretty hard to forget, and it feels as though there's a reason for living and being happy with life. My God has made sure everyone knows it- unfortunately, those teenagers that haven't matured yet to the point of "not rebelling" became the atheists that waste their time telling us how stupid we are. Pretty childish in that context, isn't it?
2. God doesn't need to be worshipped. We choose to worship him because we are thankful that he walked into his own gory death, willingly (a thing most people in this world likely wouldn't do when it came down to the wire), to save his tormentors. That seems like something to be grateful for to me. Obviously you don't agree, but hey, I'll just say it. God loves you as much as he loves me, and when you get over this childish, rebellious, lashing-out stage, he'll accept you with open arms. You just have to ask.

God talk is rational because there is a good argument for the existence of god. I have become a Christian because the community in which I find myself lodged best promotes the acquisition of the the virtues. Belonging to such a community is akin to learning mathematics: it is hard to give a reason before hand. As a consequence, it is certainly not obvious from outside the community why one should belong to the community; just like it is not obvious to a 7th grader why he or she should learn algebra or geometry.

For your related note, all god talk is analogical, since god is not a possible object of experience. So, talking about god having "needs" is difficult to make heads or tails of. Suffice it to say that the tradition holds that god is complete, simple, and one; whereas people are incomplete, complex and diverse. Consequently, we have needs, but god does not. God is worshiped as a matter of satisfying the demands of the virtue of justice, which requires that we give others what is due them in virtue of the role they have. Hence, we owe strangers peace, aid and comfort. We owe parents respect and honor. We ow god worship not because god needs worship, but because the virtues require it.

Which do you want an answer from, Christians or theists in general?

As a polytheist, I know my gods are real and my religion the right one for me because of interaction, but that interaction doesn't involve you.

If my gods wanted your worship, or even your belief, I'd assume they'd bloody well ask you for it, and if they haven't, I assume they have a reason.

Any god that'd teach "Believe and worship or suffer eternally," especially if that god provided no evidence of his existance, would not be worth worshipping.

As for a god's need to be worshipped, I don't believe any gods *need* to be worshipped.

Your question was for Abrahamic Monotheists, dear.

I know it is the right one because everyone around me at Church says it is the right one and how can so many people be wrong - especially when I feel a bit uncertain about myself?

Furthermore the good book says that Jesus is completely reliable and Jesus says that his teachings are the sole way to heaven and his teachings make up the good book, which says that He is completely reliable, and He says that his teachings are the sole path to heaven so what further evidence do I need?

Furthermore if I don't believe then I will be tortured forever by my loving creator so I am going to believe, and all the people around me believe so clearly it is the right think to do, and Jesus said it is as well.

Answer that with your false logic!

It is JUST the happy content feeling of SELF WORTH. Once we accept that it is our job to do for others to repay LIFE for your many blessings... OUR hearts open to "KNOW""ALL the ANSWERS"... Jesus mentions this transition, but honestly I do NOT know the Bible as well as I could. I just "KNOW" how to behave~ Hopefully, in such a way as to enhance the life of others. To REPAY God for HIS FAITH in ME. **** So many people in life, are truly afraid to seek Jesus. WHY? Plain and simple, other religious "people" judge and belitte them, for the choices they make, or have made in the past. Jesus Christ is a forgiving GOD, full of grace. People so caught up in doing "his work" for their own personal gain, are scaring those people off, who desperatly need him. Stop the JUDGEMENT people! It's not our place. People know when they are wrong, or screw up, they don't need reminded by people who pretend to emulate(sp) GOD. If GOD'S grace can never set anyone free(which through JESUS, it will) why would ANYONE seek him. If my ship is sunk already, I might as well stay under the water....

Where do you think the Easter Eggs come from? You know, we hide them then look for them. That's life. What fun would life be if all the answers were the same all the time? Things change, that's life. What you know today, will not be what you know tomorrow.

Religion help ushers everyone to be with our God in eternity.
Whatever religion you have or what avenue available to you...
you have to make the best out of it, to learn how to be pleasing to God and be admitted into His Heavenly Kingdom.
I know 2 best rules to make Him happy: 1. Love God above all things, 2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

God owns everything you see around you with your own 2 eyes , felt, heard... imagined, dreamed, ambitioned to acquire, wished for in your whole life... and those un-imaginable, unseen, unthought of, unheard yet of things which already existed... or the things you see only in movies, heard in story telling, or read only in newspapers/magazines, etc.
...meaning, He doesn`t need to collect or beg for anyone`s praises & worship including yours (if you had a hard time believing or thanking a God for everything He does for you)...
...because God had already legions & legions of angels, believers, living creations who are readily offering their services to Him for eternity...in lieu for our salvation & happy joyous life with Him in His Paradise forever.

God only tries to rescue everyone from eternal damnation, precious blessed life being wasted, destroyed and eventually suffer eternally in the lakes of fire with satan...
...due to powerful evil cunning tempting sins of wordly pleasures (controlling power, money, positions, pride, profession & successes) which made you forget our primovial instincts of Love, Peace, Holliness with God, Humble beginnings, Harmony, Cooperation, etc.etc.etc.

...God only wants you to sacrifice a little to resist tempting sins (of these worldly power & successes) for eternal reward in your favor...

So, Good Luck !!! and... God Bless !!!
