Paul had the same problem......it goes to show that we need God's help to fight our weaknesses.
Romans 7:15-20......For what I am working out I do not know. For what I wish, this I do not practice; but what I hate is what I do. However, if what I do not wish is what I do, I agree that the Law is fine. But now the one working it out is no longer I, but sin that resides in me. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, there dwells nothing good; for ability to wish is present with me, but ability to work out what is fine is not [present]. For the good that I wish I do not do, but the bad that I do not wish is what I practice. If, now, what I do not wish is what I do, the one working it out is no longer I, but the sin dwelling in me.

If we want to do the right thing, we will. If we want to do bad things more than right things, we will do bad things. The choice is always ours. If we think something is making us do the wrong thing other than ourselves, we are deluded, in denial of who we are. We, no one else, are responsible for our choices, good and bad. The sense that something else is making us do something comes from dissembling, lying to ourselves, and is an avoidance behavior to avoid being accountable and answerable to ourselves and others for our choices.

Most of us react to what our mind tells us to do and later we realise if it was correct or not. If we start to think first (if it is correct or not) and then do something then we will be correct most of the time.

Honey, it's in our nature to sin. If God doesn't care, why should I?
