Ok, I have a question that my friends and I have been debating for quite sometime. So, here it is:

If you asked Christ to save you from your sins, and then at some point in your life, fell away from God, and never repented before you died, would you still go to heaven? Or, do you think that if you back slide, were you ever really saved in the first place?

So, thats the question, and if you have any scripture to back up what you think(because the Bible is truth =) then please quote it =) Thanks so much!

This last weekend I went through some of my daughters schoolpaper and I guess in one subject she was learning about different religions. One of the things was a piechart. I was very surprised to see non-religion as 13%. When I grew up I didn't knew any Atheist/ Agnostics etc. But now I hear a lot of agnostic views from Christians. I think this number could be even higher than she (my daughter) is taught.

I know this is not true for many religious people. But on many occasions I have been verbally bashed for being atheist, mostly by Christians (as it is the most common religion in the US). I have been told I have no moral values for not believing in god. I have been told I deserve to die if I don't change my atheist ways. I have been told that I am just one big sin for not believing in god even though I have many morals and I am a good person. I am only 16 and barely have any money, yet i still donate to charities and do community service.

Isn't Christianity supposed to teach people to be loving, giving and accepting of other people for who they are. The why have so many Christians treated me like scum in their toilet merely for not having the same beliefs?

I think religion is a good thing for many people, it has led many people in the right direction. But honestly it is a bit ridiculous for people to go so far with their beliefs to act in the way many Christians have acted towards me

Religion is the adherence to codified beliefs and rituals that (generally) involve a faith in a spiritual nature and a study of inherited ancestral traditions, knowledge and wisdom related to understanding human life. The term "religion" refers to both personal practices related to faith as well as to the larger shared systems of belief. - wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_basic_religious_topics)

'There are times when I (as an asthist) argue with christian,
they, sometimes called me a fool by quoting this verse from bible; "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God".

But when I quote Matthew 5:22
"Whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire".
they are dumbfolded.

Is it wise to call someone a fool. Do christians really understand Bible. Please comment.

personally i understand from the word of God why this is, but i want to know why people from other faiths and my own foolishly rip into eachother over belief. i am a professing Christian, and i do not believe in the persecution of anyone's personal belief. but if i were to say trust in the Lord or face condemnation, people will take it as closed-minded ingnorance, when i truly and sincerely said it out of concern for someone who may face eternal misery. how can some so-called followers of Christ take delight in an athiest being condemned? or how can some athiests reject the love that is extended to them through God's servants? how can a muslim call me an infidel or a heathen, when the true christian's motives are driven by the very love that God has shown to us by killing His son, that we may be purchased out of the hands of the evil one. what other faith is like this?
