personally i understand from the word of God why this is, but i want to know why people from other faiths and my own foolishly rip into eachother over belief. i am a professing Christian, and i do not believe in the persecution of anyone's personal belief. but if i were to say trust in the Lord or face condemnation, people will take it as closed-minded ingnorance, when i truly and sincerely said it out of concern for someone who may face eternal misery. how can some so-called followers of Christ take delight in an athiest being condemned? or how can some athiests reject the love that is extended to them through God's servants? how can a muslim call me an infidel or a heathen, when the true christian's motives are driven by the very love that God has shown to us by killing His son, that we may be purchased out of the hands of the evil one. what other faith is like this?

EDIT: I misunderstood your question a little bit. And my revised answer is "everyone is different." Some people can believe God is real, but they're just not nice people, and nothing is going to change that. By "reject the love" I assume you mean "convert." That's because we don't. Believe. In God. Doesn't matter how nice you are. And Muslims truly believe you are a heathen. A fair few Christians are truly driven by love, even the sort-of nice ones are really just afraid of hell. It has nothing to do with how nice you guys can be, it's what story makes sense to what people.

Christians are NOT any nicer than other faiths, you have ALL types, as do atheists, as do Muslims, as do Wiccans, as do pagans. You can't force yourself to love because someone tells you to or you'll burn up for eternity, but soooo many people try.

Human nature to distrust other groups.

It would be great if each and every one of us took a good hard look in the mirror each and also studied other cultures to better understand, but we won't.
