Reading the previous answers make me angry and disappointed at the same time. You need a reason to believe in GOD? Open your EYES! The truth is ALL around you. It is very easy to stay ignorant and say oh GOD is a fairy tale and I am not going to believe in him, have you done any research from a Theological or even a scientific perspective? Probably NOT!.

You want Logical? Scientific? Probably Proof? ... Look

1. THE ORIGIN OF LIFE::
The Koran mentions that all life originated from water (Koran 21:30) and that man himself is "created" of water and so are all the animals on earth (Koran 25:54, and 24:45). The fact that all life originated in water is well established by the scientific community today. The fact that human beings and animals are created of water is also well established since cytoplasm the basic component of "life" in any animal cell is over 80% water.

MATURITY:
The Koran mentions that a human being reaches full maturity at age forty (Koran 46:15). This is a very unusual statement. Even today most people accept that full maturity is reached at puberty and laws usually put it between 18 to 21. However, the Koran is scientifically correct where even modern laws are inaccurate. If we analyze the statement based on psychological tests conducted by scientisits, what we find is that the "overall quantity of stored knowledge in the mind of an individual reaches a peak at age thirty-nine and after that it gradually declines

The Koran mentions that the universe originated, at a stage, from a "gaseous material." (Koran 41:11). It uses the Arabic word Dukhan, which stands for smoke. A perfect analogy for gas and particles in suspension and the gasses being hot.

THE GASEOUS ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE
Scientists have only very recently confirmed that the universe did indeed originate from a gaseous mass composed of hydrogen and helium, a big mass of hot gasses, a mass over 300,000 times that of the earth. That mass then fragmented to form galaxies. Muhammad, who had no schooling of any kind and was illiterate before the revelation of the Koran, could not have possibly known this.

THE DEATH OF STARS:
The Koran mentions the 'death of stars' (Koran 77:7-8). Astronomers including Dr. Patterson of Southwest Missouri State are surprised at finding this information in the Koran. They know that at the time of Muhammad, people believed that once a thing was formed, it was permanent. The Koran is very accurate when it mentions dying stars. Our own sun is a dying star.

I can go on for 400 more pages. Because yes thats how many scientific evidences there are IN THE Quran that reinforces modern scientific LAWS.

People are confused because when they think about religion they think about the BIBLE, which is the book for Christian Theology which encourages BLIND FAITH.

THE ANSWERS ARE INFRONT OF YOU. JUST LOOK FOR THEM!.

My belief is Pascal's wager. The Bible is not a bad book and I don't want to force my beliefs on others. Yeah, so I'm not "intelligent". So what?!

If I die, I get one of three things:

1) I rot in earth and that means life means nothing
2) Reincarnation. I don't remember being anything else before this life and if I fail, so what? I get another chance.
3) Heaven or hell. This is the only one that really "counts".

I'll follow Jesus since Christianity makes sense to me. I follow the Bible, try to be a good person and rely on Him to help me. People define a lot of it as spiritual nonsense, but if nothing counts at the end, what's the point? There's no harm in trying to be a nice person, beliving in something and hoping you're right. That is why I believe and why others believe.

I believe that people believe in God based on personal experience. People who are open to God tend to find him. People who are close-minded about God tend not to. Naturally, people who are raised to believe in God are more likely to be believers, but they tend to only stay so if they have experiences that support that belief. That said, many people do not understand this, even though they experience it on a regular basis. Christians, for example, may throw scripture verses at you as "proof" that they are right, which is ridiculous (and I am a Christian, fyi), but the truth is that they believe what they believe, first, then use the Bible to support it. That said, I can personally attest to religious experience, because I believe what I believe based on my own experiences. This opens my beliefs up to logical questions, but nothing that can be said can change the experiences I have had, so I personally don't care. Everyone has personal bias that affects their decisions and ability to process information, even non-believers. This is ultimately why I consider religion to be a personal thing. You can find people who have had similar experiences than you, but utlimately you believe what you believe because the evidence for it is inside you. That is one reason it is impossible to convince someone else who is close-minded about your experiences. Truth be told, I'm guilty of this, myself. We all are. So ultimately the question is this: can different experiences all be valid? I am willing to argue that the answer is YES... but that does not make ALL experiences valid. It is a complicating process to try to argue one way or another, because you can never experience what someone else experiences. That is why I try to practice toleration for all different beliefs.

I can't speak for the reasons of others, but for myself, I believe because for me there just is no other way. And nobody else is going to listen to me in the middle of the night but God. It gives me a sense or being less alone and out of control. And if that is what helps me get through the days and nights, then I see no harm in it.

I think most people on this Earth want to have and do have beliefs that there is a higher power (GOD) but I am agnostic because I have lost my faith, which you have to have to believe. I will answer your question, with mine where is the GOD that allows the good to suffer, and the bad to laugh and Not have feelings for your loved ones HE makes to suffer and then kills, in most horrible ways?

It is so obvious that there is a God. I don't know why people even question it. Just the human body alone is made so perfectly and we recieve guidance and protection and comfort on a constant basis from none other than him. He is the still small voice that guides us throughout the day and protects us from harm at night. Some things are just so obvious. The universe and all it's creations are too perfect and complex to view it any other way. Things are too orderly to have just happened all on their own with no purpose. We were put here on earth to see how well we could live our lives in righteousness to become more like God some day and return to BEHOLD HIM IN HEAVEN and live with him someday.

I believe in a divine entity because I find it doubtable that a universe so beautiful could have happened on accident. I have also had a number of experiences that lead me to believe that there is something more beyond this reality. I have considered just about every religious notion on God's existence, nonexistence, nature, and so on, and I just pretty much decided that it's all the same thing with different names put to it. Science, spirituality, reason, enlightenment. All search for some greater understanding of the world we exist in. And that, to me, is god.

I do believe in God because well, look at it this way, the things that we have today, like houses, cars, and planes, you wouldn't say it just appeared there right? Every piece has it's function, every part has a purpose. It's created for a purpose, to live in, to travel in. Right? Same thing with a animal, or a plant, or us. Every part of us has a function, like my hands type the words on this page, and as organic as we are, we are made with a design. We basically are made the same, hands , legs feet,etc... If we didn't have legs, we couldn't walk. But we were made ....to walk? WE were made to serve God, and to enjoy the nature in this world that He put here for us. Do you not enjoy listening to the birds in the morning, or watching a kitten play? Did you ever LOOK at a flower? Did you ever noticed how it looks? If things were here buy chance, Wouldn't things look more caotic? And look out in space, things work like clockwork. Things are to well ORGANIZED to be buy chance.

I don't believe God is sigular however I do believe God is plural meaning, God can be many different things and there can be more than one God. I believe God can be anything from a rock, to a snail, to crack cocaine, to a person. God is whatever you want to fathom. Respect other peoples right to chose who will be their god.

I believe in God. Though, I can understand why people would doubt that there was a God in this world. First of all, God did prove his existence; that's pretty much the whole point of the Bible specifically and Christianity generally. The bible is God's word, and made for us to use as our life’s instruction manuel. People may ask for starters, why would a loving god let people suffer? Why pain, natural disasters, starvations etc?
Well, Jeremiah 9:21-24 says That He is in control, and that He sends judgments to this earth.
God is love, but He's also just and holy and if He gave us what we deserve, the wrath of His holiness would sweep us all into Hell.
You see God is holy, perfect, and pure. He is so holy that he cannot be in the presence of evil or sin, not even the slightest speck.
If you have ever told a lie, even just a tiny one you are guilty of sin, and to God all sins are equal. Since God can’t be around sin, anyone that has ever sinned cannot get into heaven.
Think of your soul as a white T shirt. Now imagine every sin that you have ever done as a tiny stain on that shirt. Now remember that in order to get to heaven you must have a pure soul or in the examples case, a pure white t shirt. Romans 3:23 says that everyone has sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Therefore, we are all doomed to hell. Period.
There is a way to wash the sins away from your soul though…clean your t-shirt to make it brand new. About 2,000 years ago God sent his precious son to shed his innocent blood to deal with the sin problem...ONCE AND FOR ALL!
For god so loved the world he sent his only son, whoever believes this will not perish in hell, but will have ever lasting life. John 3:16.
Since the blood of mankind is stained with sin, it is worthless. But when the virgin Mary was choosen to give birth to the Savior ... God the holy spirit overshawdowed her and she became pregnant.
The blood in the baby's veins was not human, it was God's blood. (Acts 20:28), therfore it was sinless.
The greatest day in history was when Jesus Christ shed his blood at the cross to wash away our sins.

Wouldn't you like to have the that stain of sin removed from your soul / t-shirt and have the assurance of eternal life???

If so, talk to God in your own words thru prayer. Repent of your sins (ask for forgiveness and turn away from what your sins are) and ask God to save you.

The stain of sin can be removed from your soul right now.BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY!
Believe that Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died on the cross for you.

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

1. Admit that you are a sinner. Romans 3:10
2. Be willing to turn away from sin (repent). Acts 17:30
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead 3 days later and is alive today. Romans 10:9-10
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life, to become your personal savior. Romans 10:13
