" Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes pf tje earth will mourn over Him. Even so. Amen. "
( NASB )

The JWs argue that just as an airplane in the clouds is invisible to people on the earth, so is Christ's coming "with the clouds " means the event is invisible. Only those with " eyes of understading" will perceive that his coming has taken place in 1914. ( Reasoning from the Scriptures 1989, 343 )

I read many times on RandS people who ask how God could have created Satan, Adam, ( knowing he would sin), etc. and basically are trying to say that God is the author of evil. But... could you make an argument that says that evil has always existed (or the potential to commit evil acts) and therefore God could not have created it if they have always coexisted? Could this explain how Satan was able to rebel and take 1/3 of the angels with him?

My family has been going through a storm. My dad, who was like a best friend to me, is in jail and Ive been trying so hard to lean on God through this. But its been really hard. I used to go to our church youth group every wednesday night, but starting the day before he went to jail [which was a wednesday] i havent been going {which is when i do praise & worship and listen to someone talking since i work with kids on sunday mornings.}. but I went tonight [wednesday]. And I could feel God's presence there during praise and worship, but im still having a hard time leaning on God. Help please! <3

Just born into it?
You think it is more correct? If yes, why?
Your parents made you do it?
Other religions are stupid? If yes, how is yours not stupid too?

Here in our little corner of the world, nativity scenes had been the focal point in a downtown park since time began, almost ! About five years ago, those who placed the nativities were forced to abandon this tradition, forced by a small minority of anti-religious people. Silly, since the nativity is what Christmas is all about. This year a group of citizens, at their own expense, put up a large nativity scene downtown, with the mayor's permission, and with the advice and permission of the city attorney. Now there is some real hatred going on over this innocuous nativity. Folks who hate it are in the minority, but vocal in their hatred and animosity, and demanding it be taken down. What is this, folks ??? Anyone and everyone of 'other religions' are welcome to put their own symbols and stuff there too, but they do not want to do this, no, they want to persecute the Christians by stubbornly making a big fuss over this. Are other communities having this fight? What do you think?

Have you ever read a religious FAQ? It always promises to answer your deepest spiritual questions. Then all the questions listed are really weak and lame with idiotic answers. Do you think the writers of religious FAQs should take a looks at the Yahoo! Answers R&S board to get an idea of what questions people are really asking? Do you think the questions here would be too hard for them?

Here are a few of mine:
What proof is there that God exists?
What proof is there that God does not exist?
What proof is there of evolution?
What proof is there that God did not create the universe?
Christians: Have you (insert odd Biblical requirement from Old Testament) ?
Atheists: Do you know your going to burn in Hell?

The list could just go on and on...

I am looking for some reference material that can provide me either proof or disproof of reincarnation. Biblical texts are fine, but I am also looking for other sources, such as those from other ancient texts such as the Essenes, and other lost gospels, so to speak.

I need serious information. I don't want personal opinions or thoughts, only proof. If anyone knows where I can find this info, I would really appreciate it very much.

…her/him?

I think that anyone living in today's society who claimed to be the messiah would be regarded as having some sort of mental disorder. If you agree, then answer this:

What difference does the fact that he lived two millenia ago make?

-Please note that the only reason I specify Christians is that they worship someone who was a person with a physical body rather than an abstract being.

The outrage we feel against evil acts - hijackers steering jets into buildings full of people, kidnappers abusing and killing young children, the list can go on and on - Does this point tp a built in sense that something is desperately wrong. If there is such a thing as evil ... Doesn't it offer a backhand proof of God's existence?

What is your view on Hollywood and Christianity? Example: Let's say like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston marry. Both of them are actors. Brad has steamy love scenes in his movies and Jennifer has steamy love scenes in her movies. However, they're married to each other. Isn't that comitting adultery???? The Bible says "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Matthew 5:28. So THINKING about sinning is already committing adultery. What is your take on this?

We should have a right to no believe, just as you should have the right to believe. Why do you feel you need to 'save' us or show us 'the way' and save our souls from eternal damnation and a hell of eternal flame!? We don't need salvation, we don't believe, please respect that, and we will respect that you do believe! Does anyone else feel attacked by christians?

...I have heard "Faith is the element of belief". I have also heard that "The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in the Earth, so that must be evidence!"

Just curious of what religion is actually "correct", because there is "evidence" of all religions being "correct". Or has this evidence been placed in the Earth by ancient people for later discovery meaning nothing but a distraction from the truth? Some may call me crazy, but no one person can really the "truth" until death. I am just wondering your take on religion, so I may use it later as a resource of some sort.
