I just wonder why they do what they want. Like sacremnets and the Idea of confessing to a man ,and paying to light candels for prayor, and the massive amount of money, and the worship of saints , and heaven through works, worship of mary ,and preasts not having wives ,and bowing down in front of a statue and praying for st. peter or who ever to heal the sick or take care of the dead, and holy water and saint hood of the dead , and nuns, and castreto int the quire, and anulment and all the holy days they have , stations of the cross, ash wednesday, baptisim at birth. I could go on I was a catholic as I am sure you can tell until I had questions like these and never found a reasonable answer that is in the bible .I wonder who thought it all up and for what purpose why not go with the bible and what it teaches us what is the agenda. It looks like man trying to be God , If you can answer one paying to light a candle for the prayor why pay

Do you believe that those who do not believe in jesus deserve to go to hell? Even though they do not steal, murder or break any of the commandments other than not believing or worshipping god?

In the book of Revelation or something it is stated as a prophecy of God that Satan will rule the world in terror for seven years.

After that Jesus will descend from heaven to judge humanity.

So in that case, it could be said that as long as that incident does not occur then we won't be seing any Jesus.

So what we should be looking forward to is Lucifer ruling this world and then we would wait for seven years or something for Jesus to come.

Am I missing something?

I am 21 and have had severe depression since I was about 12. I took dozens of antidepressants over the years but after high school, they just quit working; they were actually making me more depressed. As I result, I turned to marijuana in order to lift my depression; it worked better than those evil pharmaceuticals. However, just recently, my doctor and I stumbled across a wonderful medication that truly gave me my life back: Adderall (it can be used for severe depression and I'm also ADHD). After all these years of searching, the perfect drug was found. But there's one problem...I developed an arrhythmia during this time, and as a result, I cannot take it. Every medication I take aggravates my heart condition. By the way, I stopped the marijuana many months ago and repented. Now here's what I'm getting at: I am saved and I love Jesus, but the depression still lingers. Could I lose my salvation if I went back to smoking pot? It's my only option at this point. There is no joy anymore.

question-do you think its better to live your life as a good and decent person not because you are expecting some reward when you die but because you think that its the right thing to do or because a book tells you that you have to and if you don't you will burn in hell

I found that faith in Christ for what he has done on the cross for us is complete for our salvation- forgiveness of our sins, freedom from sin and its power, eternal life in Christ. In fact he said "It is finished" (John 19:30-NKJV)

If you don't believe in God and you are "wrong" then you will go to hell. If you don't believe in God and you are "right" then there is no heaven.

So all the world's different religions placed aside (say there's just one big religion w/ one God)... what is the point of being an atheist? Religiously speaking you can never experience the joys of heaven or vice versa the horrors of hell. And logically speaking you have already eliminated the possiblity of going to heaven.

So why risk going to hell or never going to heaven?

I hear people say that he died because it was impossible for God to forgive sins otherwise but this makes no sense since God forgave King David of adultery and murder. Two sins which had NO ANIMAL SACRIFICE for them. The penalty was death. He also forgave others before Jesus was born.

"A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD..." -- Proverbs 12:2

Yes

Now consider the case of Job. After commissioning Satan to ruin Job financially and to slaughter his shepherds and children to win a petty bet with Satan. God asked Satan: "Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause." -- Job 2:3

No.

9 " For evildoers will be cut off, Butt those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. "

11 " But the humble will inherit the land, And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity. "

29 " The righteous will inherit the land, And dwell in it forever. "

The Jehovah's Witnesses think these verses mean that not all good people go to heaven. Some will live for all eternity on earth ( Reasoning from Scriptures, 1989, 163 )

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Roman%20Catholicism/pope_burning_in_hell.htm

How sad! How tragic! According to the Bible, Pope John Paul II went straight to burn in hell-fire on April 2nd, 2005. Jesus clearly stated in John 3:3...

"Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

The Pope NEVER spoke of being "born-again." The Pope NEVER made any public profession of faith ALONE in Jesus Christ. On the contrary, Pope John Paul II placed his faith in the traditions and manmade doctrines of the Catholic religion. There is NOTHING in the King James Bible (or the Catholic Bible) about keeping the Seven Sacraments to get to heaven...nothing! There is NOTHING in the Word of God about the Immaculate Conception of Mary. There is NOTHING in the Bible about the Rosary or praying to God through Mary. There is nothing in the Bible about priests being celibate.

I wish it were not so. The fact that the Catholic religion is one of the most popular religions on the earth should be a grave warning sign to us.
