Just out of curiosity, are there any Christian vegetarians on here or any that are involved with groups like these?

Panglosswasright above me, is very simular to myself. I don't like meat either and I've been vegetarian since I started eating solid food. I'd spit meat out every time my mother would give it to me and hated it since. I didn't like the texture or taste of it... I hated it even more when I found out where it came from. I remember being extremely appalled at the practice of killing and eating an animal. Now that i'm older, i've calmed down about people eating meat, although I still don't like it. I've eaten a little meat since I was 17 although the first time was really disgusting for me and was only a bite. I felt sick.... I never ate meat again until I lost my parents and became homeless. Sometimes I ate whatever I could find, even if it was meat. Some of it did not make me sick, but some of it did.

Now that I'm not starving, and have a home... I do not eat meat just like when I was a kid.

Well, I have been a vegetarian since I was 3. And I was being raised Catholic at the time.
However my decision to not eat meat came because I found out they were animals, not for religious reasons.
And I have never belonged to a vegetarian group of any kind, so I can't help you there.

No offense but the idea of Christian/vegetarian drives me crazy! There is a verse in the Bible where God himself said to the people"kill and eat". Not to mention @ one point Adam/Eve after the fig leaf incident wore animal skins to cover themselves. Were they just mean? Did they just kill for sport/selfishness?

Christians are not evolved enough to be vegetarians. The practice requires a very mature mind.

The words "Christian" and "Vegatarians" really don't go together.
