Why was it deleted, does anyone know?
I can not understand why that question would be removed, she said nothing offensive to anyone.

How did the argument go from "evolution doesn't exist" to "animals evolve but not humans" to "god created evolution?"

p.s. "Evolution" is not a fact but change in species has been proven.

My husband and I read through the Bible once a year. This year, we decided to read the NLT. It hasn't been my favorite translation, overall (I study with the ESV and Young's Literal Translation). But we have been reading Galatians in the past two days and it's like I have new eyes to see it. It has been incredible! I want to shout from the rooftops what good news the Gospel really is! :)

What, in Scripture, has touched or amazed you lately?

Why couldn't Jesus have died for God and not as God? Maybe Jesus just simply became one with God? After all he was a spiritualist who taught a path towards oneness with God (not religion).

I often hear people say committing suicide is a selfish act. That the deceased person should have thought about how that would impact others. What is your opinion?

What stories in the Bible show God has a sense of humor? What things in life show His humor?

My favorite is in Mark at the garden of Gethsemane when someone lost a tunic and ran away naked. I thought that was hilarious to just toss in there like that.

Ok, so have you eaten something, and somehow a piece of it gets stuck up on you palate? You know, like in the very back of your nasal cavity? I had this happen today and was wondering if this happens to anybody else?

And to the people who say this isn't a R&S question, I say, yes, on the surface and I know that, but I like it here, but really, I am looking for those universal experience we all have, no matter what religion so I think that in it's own way is spiritual. Who knew getting a piece of food stuck in you nasal passage could be spiritual huh?

I am speaking, of course, of Odin, the All-Father, the principle god of the medieval Scandinavian pantheon, by whom you were created and to whom you must owe your allegiance.

Come Ragnarok, will you be among the proud Einherjar who have resided in Valhalla and who will accompany Odin to the final confrontation between the Aesir and the forces of Chaos: the giants and their ally Loki?

Have you been a loyal follower of Odin in this life? Why jeopardize your chance at attaining a life in Valhalla and the glorious final battle of Ragnarok by rejecting him? If he isn't real, after all, you have nothing to loose--

--but if he IS real, will you not one day regret that you rejected your creator?

Someone forgot to put an asterisk next to "God loves everyone, God loves you!"

Think about it...

God hates you
If you have an abortion, are homosexual, are atheisist, have a different religion, have premarital sex, and if you dont follow the ten commandments.
Oops, guess i was wrong, God does seem pretty loving.....

Every time someone criticizes their religion it's like they just can't handle it. Or maybe it's just that I don't let things bother me.

And while we're on that subject, why do so many people answer questions with Bible quotes?

I have studied with this bible a bit, and I find it to be easier to understand, but very different from my bible.

Also I am not sure about all the Bible study aides that they give to me.

The reason I ask is because I know a lot of people who used to think they were "real" Christians, but now that they are atheists and agnostics, people say they were never "real" Christians. They thought they believed in Jesus, prayed and went to church, tried to love their enemies, read the Bible and always deferred to "God's word" when it came to the tricky bits. Well received in churches, they fit right in with "the brethren." But if one day someone wakes up and realizes that they don't really believe in Jesus and the Bible anymore, all of a sudden they "never were Christians." So, what happens to these poor souls who really thought they believed but apparently, according to popular evangelical doctrine, never really did? I know a lot of people who fit this description. Bottom line: they cried out to God and he did not answer.

Do you think there should be religion classes offered to high school students as an elective course? When i say religion classes I mean two things:

1) Background course that exposes students to many types of religions and theological ideas.

2) Course on a specific Religion (Christianty, Muslim, etc.) that gives main theological points and background of religion. This course could also serve as a study to expand the knowlegdge that the student has in the religion (Bible Study, etc.)

What do you think about these two ideas? I have to write a research paper on this so I wanted some other opinions and perspectives. Please be specific about your opinion and tell me WHY you think the way that you do. If you use any statistics please provide your source.

Can Satan and his minions hear the prayers of Christians here on earth? I asked this question to a few people whom I go to church with and one lady said "No" as long as I didn't "verbalize" the question?.... Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
