The Holy Spirit is the power of God—not a personage, consciousness, entity, part of the godhead or part of a Trinity. It is the mind and essence of the divine nature and the spiritual extension of God through which He carries out His will. Bestowed upon or poured out upon individuals, it imparts begettal by God as His children. God's Spirit empowers the mind to comprehend spiritual matters, producing conversion. It leads us into all truth; convicts us of sin and righteousness; and imparts faith, the love of God, power to overcome sin and other gifts essential to do His will. It is the earnest or guarantee of eternal life.

1. Why was I born into a world of sin and hate.
If you had a child, would you put them on this planet versus next to God?

2. Why do I go to hell if I don't believe in God?
I don't have the heart to sentence my child to an eternity of hell. Am I more loving than God?

Also:
Why did God bring so much pain amongst his people in the Old Testament? Yes they sinned but why torture them?

Religion it seems to me is for those unable to accept the human condition and face it, our short life span in particular fills them with such dread that instead of focussing in on the wonders of art and literature and philosophy and the awesomeness of nature, they obsess over the topic they fear which is death and bore the rest of us with tales of ghosts and the supernatural.

They are liars if they pretend not to understand how it feels to disbelieve in the Gods, claims and beliefs of others...I think Christians protest atheism too much seeing as they disbelieve in vastly more Gods than they believe in and with respect of those Gods are as atheist as any atheist. What do you say?

but its for purely selfish reasons not because i believe in your "protest". You see, my Church will not give me Her blessing to divorce but i really wouldnt mind the option. well i figured if the Queen, bless her heart, if she can give Prince Charles her blessing to divorce (albeit reluctantly no doubt) surely she wouldnt frown on me getting one too.
Actually im confusing myself now...pls tell me just who is the visible head of the Protestant Church?

If you feel that healthcare being free is an act of communism, please don't answer, because I find that notion to be preposterous in about every sense of the word.

You get insurance for you car, your house, your items, you even get life insurance....you shouldn't have to pay out the nose because your child is dying of cancer, or your father is in a coma, or your mother got her legs smashed in a wreck.

Since he's God, after his ascension, he might've changed his appearance to the one he had in the Old Testament, because isn't God described as being old in the bible? and wasn't Jesus just a body God used, like I mean God was in Jesus body. When Jesus ascended, he transformed into the "old" God (the looks of the old God).

Do you get me? I'm so confused here. I don't know what to say more. Though, I'm a trinitarian and believe Jesus is God.

PLEASE DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING, IF YOU'RE GONNA SAY "GOD DOESN'T EXIST" ETC AND ETC. BECAUSE I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT NOW.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

can a relationship, which started out as adulterous, in the end, be blessed?
to explain.... husband and wife have a LOT of problems. both of them know there is no "marriage" left, but they stay together for the sakes of the kids. she ends up having a lesbian relationship, and he ends up with a mistress he ultimately falls in love with. after several months, the mistress walks away, knowing that she cannot be the reason they get divorced.
time passes... after a year and a half, husband and wife get divorced. another year goes by, and the man and mistress reunite and soon marry, even tho they have not spoken to each other since she walked away, and are the happiest and the most in love they have ever been... the (ex)wife has been with her girlfriend straight thru, even to this day.
could their separation be the price the man and mistress had to pay to ultimately be happy and share an amazing love together? is it possible for this marriage to truly be blessed in the eyes of God?

The client is a Christian fundementalist, with personal issues. The client has been referred to me by family of the client.

I know that the client is outside therapeutical reach, not willing to listen to anything else but to what is religiously connected or has a religious source. The client is self-absorbed, self-rightous, have tendency of hysteria, and generally has become a nuisance to her family, and strangers in public.
There is no indication from the describtions that she is a danger to either herself or others (as in inflicting physical harm)

I have three options:
1) Take the first hour assessment of her and see what happens.
2) Call and cancel now and move on to the next client.
3) Take on the challenge.

Which would you recommend?

...when he knew she would? For that matter, why even issue the ten commandments if he's known forever whether or not we would follow them?
Isn't it kind of like telling a hungry dog "don't eat the dog food", then punishing it when it ultimately does so.
I am NOT trying to insult, it's just that questions like these have always made me think.
