In Matthew 27:46, it states that while Jesus was on the cross, he said:

How miserable is saviour and how miserable are 'saved' ones.

Think about it, if that is so, then what's the point to all the complex chemical reactions and neural networks inside the brain, and the fact that something as simple as an antidepressant can change one's mood? Is the soul not separate from the body, and since our thoughts and emotions are part of the soul they shouldn't be affected by earthly things such as chemicals and electrical signals in the brain?

Technically and historically pagans were anyone that was not christian. It was a deragotary term given to the heathens that didnt practice the same way the early church felt they should. There wasnt a group called the pagans that all worshipped the same set of ideas. Pagans from one country might have had totally diff beliefs and traditions from pagans in another country.
So when you say you practice the old traditions of the pagans or that you are a pagan, a pagan of what culture or country are you talking about?

Hey all! Im a pagan witch, and i totaly celebrate christmas, not because i have any lingering faith in the christian religons, but because its fun, and pretty and my kids like presents. I also like presents..lol Like a lot of you I was not raised pagan, and I have a lot of fond memories of eating dinner with my family, and stuff like that. How many of you still have a tree, and lights and santa and stuff?
Also, I decorate in a neato pagan way, lots of purple and silver pentagrams on my tree and a yule log (lit with candles) what do you all do?

Hello, I am what you would call a "protestant" I want to see what the Roman Catholic church believes and why. Also, why do you think we have "pulled away from the true "religion" When in the dark ages it was the Roman Catholic who pulled away from the truth. It seems to me people claim to know Jesus the Christ and the word of Father God in Heaven, so why on a spiritual network like this one nobdy 9o% is not about Jesus he came to teach us Father God word and Law and Most of all how much God Loves us what are u scared of and quit faking like u know the word, but as one said u get snotty and mean when pretending like you know God, I guess its thee old tale I give to the church, I go to sunday school well think about it Jesus have church everday what about you, the power and love of my Father god and Brother in Jesus is moving in a way you should appreciate, take away all the glamor and buildings and machines, only thing left is people and the Lord, for extremely Heavenly People, notice just the name of Jesus, people run and hide well if it effect you that much, then maybe he's trying to tell you something, How do you Feel no arguing comments Please/

I'm good friends with a few, but overall they seem very pessimistic and conniving. I'm beginning to see that they are all backstabbers and only nice to my face. I, myself, am agnostic. Actually a happy, hopeful, agnostic. But please tell me that there are some good, nice atheists out there. I think my mom has turned into an atheist, too, and she is super depressed all the time now. I've been thinking how the world is at the moment and wondering is it getting worse or is it always at constant level and the variables just change? I think if you speak to most people they would say yes the world is getting worse but when you think that in the past centuary there were two world wars are we worse off now or as I said before is the world at a constant level and the variables just change (eg. there is no world war but we now have extereme terroism and global warming etc)
What is your take on it???
