2 Timothy 3:15-16 says it all:
"and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."
"All Scriptures is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"

The Bible has been translated into many languages so all may have access to it.
Your question is addressed to Christians, so I must assume you mean "main-stream" Christianity and not the few works that have been produced for off-shoot religions. Since so many accept Jesus as a prophet and have little or no knowledge of him I am also concerned that a less than true replica may be passed as authentic. The Bible stands by itself and is not a part of any other religious text. It includes the Old Testament that covers the time of early Judaism and the New Testament that covers the life of Christ and the activities of his first followers.
The New Testament (like the Old Testament) is composed of a number of different works or books. The books of the New Testament are Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians,1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, Revelation. I take time to list these out of deep concern that some may be led astray by being told that anything less is what Christians study.
The Bible is inspired by God. Men who witnessed the events contained in it or were faithfully made aware of those events are the ones who committed the words to writing. The book, itself, is not to be worshipped. The words in the book are the heart of God.

For the Christian the Holy Bible is God's Word for man, the final authority in his faith and practice. It is verbally inspired and plenary authoritative God's revelation in written form as Jesus Christ is God's revelation in human form. God the Holy Spirit is the power that makes man understand His revelation. Christianity is an intelligent faith based in an accomplished fact.

It's the word of God as written by His prophets. Some churches believe in more scriptures besides the Bible.

Bible is God's word in a nutshell. It is predictions and a life style that was lived. It is more than a story more than words on a page of history. It's everything to me

A book inspired by God but written by humans, reflecting the cultural assumptions of the time in which it was written, but in which we can find their efforts to understand God's loving care for humankind. The best guide and challenge for us as we strive to come to this same understanding in our day.
