What are the "Promise Keepers"..?

Tell me everything you know about them please..
Because I know nothing..except that they apparently love their wives, and like to express that love on bumper stickers. lol..

The Promise Keepers are a group of Christian men who adhere to seven key principles and they encourage one another to live out their lives as men in Christ. The seven promises of a promise keeper are:

1) Honor Jesus Christ

2) Pursue vital relationships with other men (basically seek spiritual accountability with other Christian men).

3) Practice Personal Integrity

4) Build strong marriages and families.

5) Support his Pastor and Church.

6) Demonstrate biblical unity

7) Influence His community

The Promise Keepers is a mens group that emphasizes being a good Godly husband, father and all around man. We have meetings in large stadiums with thousands of men praise bands and internationally known speakers as well as local meetings with just a handful of men in attendance.

The Promise Keepers are a bunch of middle aged or aging men who are either a) confused about their sexuality, b) single and can't find love, or c) have nothing better to do than join other men in stadiums or other large venues to hold hands and sing and pray.

it's a nice movement but just remember the word "promises"....and promises can be broken....use common sense...consider that each man has his story and motive..
