I don't understand..i think they act more like hypocrites then people who don't go to church..they can believe what they want..but need to learn to practice what they preach...only God can..will..and should judge us..we are no better then anyone else on this earth..can I get an amen! I say to Love one another and let God decide what is right and wrong when that time comes..I haven't a problem with them..i know many..my brother included..and i love and treat him just the same as i would anyone else..it's really none of our business what takes place behind closed doors..

They don't pose a threat to us, but they threaten God's judgment. It is clearly understood in the Bible that homosexuals are an abomination. It doesn't make sense for a gay to turn away from God because they can't turn away from their sin. It's something some people must live with and control. It's the same way with children who were raised atheist. They like everyone else must overcome this world of sin and start turning to the Bible. There's no easy way to say this but, if they feel 70-80 years of freewill and partying and having sex for no reproductive causes and constant disobeying God is worth eternal torment, than that's their irrational decision. In the end it's all about the big picture, and we always have to keep that picture in mind.

The place homosexuals should be is in a church somewhere. Maybe if they spent time seeking God and fellowshiping with believers God could work in their lives and open their eyes to how they are living. You can accept someone for who they are without condoning their lifestyle. It's not that the church doesn't accept them but that it doesn't accept a homosexual lifestyle as acceptable behavior for God's children.

Excuse me, but could you please not put all Christians under the "******" column. I am a Gnostic Christian, and many of my close friends are gay (they're a girl's best friend, after all).

I think that some Fundamentalist Christians believe that by being friend with a gay person, that it turns them gay, or that if gay people are allowed to get married that eveyone is going to turn gay and get married. At least, that what is sounds like they're saying to me when I hear their arguments.

Edit:

To people who don't like gay "relations"- If you don't like it, DON'T LOOK AT IT!! What grown men and women do behind closed doors is none of your business, anyway.

Christians choose not to accept gays into their community because they perceive that homosexuality is a sin as described in the book of Leviticus in the old testament. Leviticus is seen as a book of rules to live by. The exact phrase as I recall it goes "No man shall lye with another man as if his wife." This "rule" is wedged between the line that describes the proper way to purchase slaves and the correct way to give burnt offerings up to the lord. Simply put, the writer of the book of Leviticus was a bigot. As with most bigots of today, he simply didn't understand the lifestyle and perceived that since he didn't understand it, it must therefore be wrong. Christians of today are programmed to believe that if you accept the sinner, you accept the sin.

I believe that Christians accept the INDIVIDUAL but not the sin.
To live the sodomite lifestyle is a choice.
Considering GOD calls that lifestyle an ABOMINATION and considering that that lifestyle is condemned in the OLD testament AND the NEW testament...a christian has no choice but to call it as it is....sin.
God calls it sin...as a Christian we accept GOD's call on it, just like we accept that adultery, fornication, stealing, murder, telling a lie, etc are also sins and if one desires eternal salvation one must denounce sin.

Again....the individual is welcome in the church....the SIN is not.

Have a great day. :o)

I agree with Natasha. There's nothing wrong with gay or bi people in general, just what they are are doing. I have been a christian my whole life and some of my closest friends are bisexual and a few are gay.

I for one do not oppose Gays in the community. I do have gay friends. I can't say that I approve of their lifestyle, but it is their lifestyle and who am I to judge?

You are using huge generalities here, my friend. Please do not lump Christians in one lump!! Folk who are gay are accepted in most communities. It is the militant gays who are making headlines and trouble. The militants of any gender are a threat to communities.....sexual preference is not a threat, it is militancy !!!
