For the most part American judicial law is from ancient Roman law which was obviously not christian in nature.

Laws have been based, from ancient days to now in some part, on the Code of Hammurabi which were the first written law. Much later, more laws were passed to control people's activities to make them easier to rule. Punishments were often swift and harsh, much like today's laws. The idea of the three-strikes law and mandatory minimum sentencing were all preached on prior to passing as law. the church has always been used as a tool to preach propaganda for the government.

Justice system is built on "Natural Law," not religious law. Natural law is that sense in every individual of "right and wrong." Or you could say your conscience or your "inner light."

No. A lot of the ideas came from the Romans. That's why there are so many legal terms in Latin, like "habeas corpus".
