I've come to learn that it doesn't matter if Satan hears your prayers or not.
He is completely powerless to stop God from hearing you and he's certainly not able to stop God from answering you. In fact I'll go as far as to say, that devils tremble when they hear a Christian calling out to God.

this is a very good question. If you read the four gospels, Jesus was bing tempted by Satan a couple of times. One was when he went into the dessert for 40 days 40 nights and the other was when he was praying right before he was taking into prison. The bible said he was filled with the spirit. Satan can't understand a language that has no meaning to him and is beyond his understanding and that is with the power of the holy spirit of speaking in tongues.

Sometimes I think that he can. But I can't help wondering if that ability is foiled at times. God might cloak a believer's prayer at times, but I don't really know.
One thing I am pretty sure of is that God didn't cloak the prayer of Jesus in John 17. I see the work of Satan in the fact that Christianity is so fractured. It's sad, but the uniting of all Christians will take place no matter what Satan does.

they devil can only hear words spoken. thats why people say things are better left unsaid because if you say something bad and the devil hears you, what you said may very well take place. only God knows what goin on in you mind. the devil has no knowledge of what u think

If you have the gift of tongues and you intercede to God
he cannot understand what you are saying
If you speak it out loud yes he can
so always make that one positive and use the word

I have also heard that Satan cannot read our thoughts, prayer as quiet thoughts, however, if we verbablize he can hear.

Yes, he can understand our words, but not our thoughts. This is why I like to speak in tongues, he cannot understand it at all.
