How sad! How tragic! According to the Bible, Pope John Paul II went straight to burn in hell-fire on April 2nd, 2005. Jesus clearly stated in John 3:3...

"Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

The Pope NEVER spoke of being "born-again." The Pope NEVER made any public profession of faith ALONE in Jesus Christ. On the contrary, Pope John Paul II placed his faith in the traditions and manmade doctrines of the Catholic religion. There is NOTHING in the King James Bible (or the Catholic Bible) about keeping the Seven Sacraments to get to heaven...nothing! There is NOTHING in the Word of God about the Immaculate Conception of Mary. There is NOTHING in the Bible about the Rosary or praying to God through Mary. There is nothing in the Bible about priests being celibate.

I wish it were not so. The fact that the Catholic religion is one of the most popular religions on the earth should be a grave warning sign to us.

Bible says Leaders to be judged harshly... He "led" a billion Catholics, and never spoke of salvation through being born again. Would that earn him a seat in hell?

I didn't write the article, just ask if you agree with its logic.

Yes or no will do fine.

And I am not a protestant...I am not part of any church and have nothing to do with Easter, Sundays or Christmas...how is my faith an "offshoot of Catholocism" ?? lol

Didn't you see that picture of him in flames that was all over the TV recently? My dad said "I sure don't want to go where he is..."

One point, though - there IS a reference to rosaries in the bible - Jesus didn't approve of them:

"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking."
[Matthew 6;7]

Let's get a few things straight here, shall we?

There is no hell. So John Paull II won't be burning there. There is no heaven either. If there was, John Paul II deserves to be there. He's done great things for peace and what not. The least he would deserve is hell, regardless of what the bible does or doesn't say. Regardless of him being Catholic or born-again.

There might possibly be an otherworld. I'm not saying there is, I'm not saying there isn't (like I said regarding heaven and hell). But John Paul II is there. Possibly with all the knowledge he wasn't able to have access to when he was alive. Only he can't use that knowledge for anything now. But what he does know now, is something we can only speculate on.

But he's most definitely not in any sort of hell. No god could possibly do such a cruel thing to someone who's done so many good deeds (let's not talk about those forms of conception for now, okay? People do make mistakes...) in his life.

All Catholics believe that Jesus is the son of God and our Savior. It's the basis of Catholicism. We do not pray to God through Mary.....we ask Mary to pray for us. The prayers that we say on the Rosary are from the Bible. While were at it, we also don't worship statues either.....just in case you're under the impression that we do.

Whether Pope John Paul II went to heaven or not is not your problem or your concern. It's between him and God. Worry about your own salvation and not others.

I'm not a devout Catholic nor spiritual at all. However, Pope John Paul II was a great man who only sought to reconcile the differences between the Church and other beliefs. He is not burning in hell and that article is only a slanderous filth written by anti-Catholics.

What you saw was a picture of a flame that appeared to be waving like John Paul II always did. Not funny at all.

According to Scripture he was "born again". Unless you are God, you have absolutely no authority or right to judge. in fact you are sinning by doing so. You are also disregarding the commandment to not bear false witness, but you are doing so by attacking Pope John Paul II and the Church that Christ created.

The fact that you have no ability to understand Scriptures does not mean that the Church is wrong or that Christ is a liar as your suppositions suggest. Jesus indeed built His Church to be the "bulwark and ground of the truth" that will endure for all time. the fact that His Church has endured for 2000 years should exemplify the veracity of Christ's promises.

Just professing faith does nothing. Being sanctified from sin is what is necessary, and Pope John Paul did not seem like a very sinful person. Just going around saying "I am a Christian" does not save someone.

God is the ultimate judge of us all. Our salvation isn't dependant on our actions, but rather the Grace of God (believe it or not, Catholics do believe that). In this way, we are not required to "speak of being born again" or anything - just accept the gift of Grace through Christ as a result of our faith expressed through our deeds.

I don't see how bashing Catholics helps the protestant cause. There are bigger fish to fry (Muslims and Humanists to begin)

We don't know his heart, that was between and Jesus. If anyone is saved, then they go to Heaven, his being the Pope did not guarantee his going to Heaven any more than my being a Baptist. What matters is our relationship with Jesus. I think its sad and tragic for you to judge someone who is dead when you didn't know them personally and had no way of knowing his heart.

fact: whoever said that must been to hell himself, saw the pop burning, came back and he/she is letting the world know. i will be the last one to believe this.

myth: 1- he was closest to god so he is in heaven
2- he is burning in hell as you stated above
3- he is locked up in the black box waiting for the judgment day
...once again nobody knows
