In the book of Revelation or something it is stated as a prophecy of God that Satan will rule the world in terror for seven years.

After that Jesus will descend from heaven to judge humanity.

So in that case, it could be said that as long as that incident does not occur then we won't be seing any Jesus.

So what we should be looking forward to is Lucifer ruling this world and then we would wait for seven years or something for Jesus to come.

Am I missing something?

All you are missing is the Second Coming, which should have happened long before this.

Think of the evils of history, including the Spanish Inquisition and the Crusades, to name just two. In more recent times, think Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Chairman Mao, et al.

Possibly the Book of Revelations has an error or two or three. Lost in translation perhaps?

7 years is a hell (sorry about the pun) of a long time. I wouldnt look forward to 7 years of suffering.

Besides.. All religious documentation is subject to interpretation. How do you know the 7 years hasnt started? 911 was pretty shocking, The developed world has never been under a higher "alert" status (roughly translated terror).

Are you really that eager to be judged? Every spiritual question I have seen on this blog has fequently led to atheists getting slammed by thumbs down. Yet doesnt your Bible state "What you do to the least of your brothers. So shall you do on to me."? and also teaches to turn the other cheek.

I cannot say EVERY christian on here is guilty but there sure is alot of you.

Additionally, Jesus walked out among the weak sick and dying and gave all he could to make their lives better. You are sitting comfortably behind technology asking question comfortable with food in your stomach and water across your lips while your brothers in Ethiopia and such die daily due to lack of food and water.

What efforts have you made to make their lives better, Dont say donating to charities count because compared to actually doing something that is a piss poor excuse.

So I would invite you to prevent the comming of Jesus because your not ready for him yet...

Or have I misunderstood the situation?

Yes, you're missing a lot, actually.

There is a lot more to it than simply Satan coming to rule. There are more than a few different schools of thought on the End Times, and the truth is that we don't know when Jesus is coming back. Scripture says He'll come like a thief in the night, so there isn't any way for us to predict.

The Bible also tells us there will be signs and wonders - things for us to look for to indicate Jesus' return will be near. But again, we won't know the day or hour. Even Jesus didn't know that - at least, He didn't know it when He was here on Earth.

But we DO know that, in the end, GOD WINS!

Isn't that just the coolest?

Your eschatology is all messed up. Jesus returns with a trumpet
for the church (only Christian hear it), rapture, 7 years of
tribulation. First 3 1/2 years of peace the last 3 1/2 the worst
of all the world has ever seen. Christ returns and puts Satan
in the abyss for 1,000 . Perfect peace for 1,000 years. Satan is release and starts a rebellion against the Lord. Then
the Lord returns and fights the last battle of Armageddon
alone with the Word of His mouth. Done over, then the Day
of God for eternity. Of course there are judgments in between.

Satan will indwell a man for several years. We will know who that man is because the Bible tells us what he will do. Specifically, he will make a peace treaty with Israel. He will also cause the offerings in the temple to cease. He will also enter the temple and proclaim himself to be god--then the Israelites will know they've made a terrible mistake. These and several other prophecies will occur, then Jesus will appear. Don't look for a demonic-looking person to rule the earth!

Actually you are missing the whole 7 years of tribulation. Remember, according to scriptures the anti-christ will rise to power and will reign in peace. He will create a peace treaty with Israel and the world will get along very nicely until he breaks the treaty with the Jews. (They will all live in peace for 3 and a half years. ) THEN ALL HELL BREAKS loose. And that is when the tribulation begins. These things can be found in Revelation and then when the final trumpet sounds and Christ returns to earth he will reign for 1000 years in perfect harmony. Those who are born here on earth will then have an opportunity to accept Christ and those who are not accepting will be doomed to hell as will all of those who rejected him before the thousand year reign. Please contact me if you need specific scriptures. It would involve at least 6 chapters in the book of revelation.

Yes, as usual you have it fouled up because you have not really studied it out. Jesus will come when the time is right. Even He does not know exactly when that will be, only the Father knows. So don't listen to man speculate about the events and time frame necessary to usher in the 2nd coming. Just be ready.

You need to read and study the subject more. It's too complex to answer in this forum. There are many ways of interpreting the book of Revelation and there are many different views of the end times. Your description sounds like a pretribulation, pre-mil take on the end times. There are, however, a lot of other and I think better interpretations.

yeah it will start during a war and there will be a peace maker and that person will be what we think is wonderful...but they change and turn evil and aweful....but first god takes the people he wants so like a mass disapperance will happen. then the world will be in a uproar then the anti christ will come there will be starvation and drought and whoring around and you wont be able to buy anything unless you have the mark which is like "666" that will go on for 7 years and blah blah blah

This is right, satan will be unleashed and I don't plan on being LEFT BEHIND. I will not be here for Lucifer to rule the earth. I will already be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
