I am looking for some reference material that can provide me either proof or disproof of reincarnation. Biblical texts are fine, but I am also looking for other sources, such as those from other ancient texts such as the Essenes, and other lost gospels, so to speak.

I need serious information. I don't want personal opinions or thoughts, only proof. If anyone knows where I can find this info, I would really appreciate it very much.

I have never made up my mind about reincarnation, but something in the bible has always puzzled me . After Jesus was resurrected when He met Mary, why is it she didn't recognize him?

There is a book called "Old Souls" though I cannot remember the author. Just look it up on Amazon. It discusses past life memories of children as studied by doctors.

You should also check out the ADCRF. Just type in After Death Communication and the links will come up. You can ask questions and learn a lot from this site. It's one of my favorites.

There is a ton of information around on this topic. You have but to search.

On a personal note, ignore those who tell you it's a stupid idea. I think you already know that but I wanted to say it anyway. There is nothing wrong with searching for answers to these questions. Personally, I believe it's a distinct possibility and I know that I am one of many.

At one time there was much proof of reincarnation, some of which was going to go into the Bible, lot of these and many other things that were to go into the Bible would of made it to large. Therefore these documents and writings were stored in a large library way back when....although a fire destroy all proof of these documents.

Any spirit could use any body if the spirit have a strong will... it has similarity on exorcism.

But being born again is a big question as in regards to the explained above. Even

Jesus have doubts regarding the matter as was written in the New Testament on being born again...

To do that, you need a decomposed or mummified body, then either have this body regenerate or the exact, non-cloned, copy of this person appear in front of you.

As far as physical historical records of such a happening, there are none.

Text from the Quran that rejects reincarnation:

99. (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),-

100. "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up.

These verses mean that there is no return to this life in any way before the Day of Judgment.

Peace/salaam.

You do understand that ancient text will still only provide ancient personal opinions. But, still the Vedas and Sutras all tell of rebirth.
