okay, i am bi (mostly gay) and nobody knows. but i am sick of people saying that gays go to hell, I have some proof that god does not disapprove of gays. If god really is the ultimate creator and is pretty much perfect. Then how is it that he does not accept gays even though straight people here on earth can accept us, unless of course you're saying that you're better than god? By the way, dont say that you dont accept us, because plenty of people dont really care what our sexuality is. The only person I have ever come out to is perfectly fine with it, and she doesnt treat me any differently. In fact we are closer than ever now.

By the way some people see it, many of us will be in Hell. And by what I've read here, once we arrive there is no way out.

Is this really so?

Here is an excerpt from my honors biology textbook last year:

"A theory is a proposed set of statements or principles used to explain a group of facts or natural phenomena—evidences that support the theory. No matter how well one theory fits observations, upon the discovery of new evidences, a new theory might fit them as well or better. In science, the testing, revising, and occasional discarding of theories, new and old, never ends.

As the research continues, it leads scientists to a better understanding of how things work in the world, but not to absolute truth. Scientific discovery is limited by technology. As technology improves, so will the evidence that supports, alters, or disputes theories of all kinds.

In contrast, a scientific law is a conclusion that is made based on repeated scientific experimentation over many years and has become universally accepted by the scientific community. An example of a law would be the law of gravity."

So in the year 2006, an honors 9th grade biology class shows that theories are lesser than laws, when really, in the scientific community, laws don't exist anymore right?

This means that along with all the other outdated information that schools are teaching, new generations are leaving high school without any idea what science has been up to the last 20+ years.

So when a Christian says: "Evolution is just a theory", it isn't that the Christian is dumb, its that the school system is not capable of producing educated individuals.

Opinions?

My coworker told me that "My GOD does not have power over my finances" "Only I do" He also said "My God will not be there when something bad happens to me". He also said "My God is a fairy tale". For some reason this hurt my feeling, I wanted to fall on my knees and cry. Then I wanted to stab him. For some reason I took a huge offense. It was like he stabbed me in the heart- . What should I do? I can't find myself to forgive him.

Paul seems to say that Jesus "emptied" himself of his deity or "equality with God" (vv 6-7 ) in order to become human (v 8 ). How could Jesus could be God if he left his deity aside to become a man? Jehovah's Witnesses say he could not ( Reasoning from the Scriptures 1989,198, 419 )

It seems that all of these atheists around here love to complain about the world's problems and blame them on God, but how many of them have sincerely asked God to solve them?

Don't you realize, atheists, that if you simply ask Jesus into your hearts all would be well again?

I take Bible History at school. And we are currently on Second Kings (we go in order, by the way). And all I've read and heard about was how God's plan went completely down the drain. He saved his people from Egypt, a couple hundred years later, his plan had completely sunk. I know God is all knowing. And he knew people would end up like this. So, why'd he do it?! Why'd he create us, anyway?? If he knows the human race is such a horrible, greedy, self-centered, nonchalant, chauvinistic, idiotic, lying, stealing, murdering, unreligious thing....Why the heck did he even make us?? He KNOWS, as time goes on, people forget more and more about him. If we last this long, in another thousand years, we won't remember who God is. The Bible will be a silly thing of the past. What's the point?? Why create something so...amazingly great....just to watch it fall to ruins?

Matthew5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
