Can someone explain to me why after uncovering all the evidence that the boat-shaped figure on Mt. Ararat is Noah's Ark, why don't the archaeologists or the Turkish government just dig it up and find out the truth ?

Because it's an optical illusion. Hoaxes ( such as the satellite pics of the remnants of Noah's Ark ) which are used to support religion are the enemies of religion itself. They exploit the curiosity of the ignorant, and just disappoint those who are seeking truth.

A true religion doesn't need hoaxes to support itself. Uncovering fraud in religion is one of my strongest passions. Whoever makes a hoax to support their religion is one of the lowest forms of scum on the planet.

They are not people of God, they are nothing more than crooked people with a used-car-salesmen mentality, looking for fame and a fast buck.

Shame on them

Because it rested on the top of a mountain?

Wasn't there a documentary about an explorer who saw the supposedly remains of the ark up Mt Ararat in Turkey? The only reason they were not able to pursue such exploration, the documentary said was that the Turkish government wouldn't allow any exploration done.

Because the people who live in the area that it sits, don't reguard it with the same interest that others do. Besides if it were open to the 'public', it wouldn't take long before there would only be 'splinters' left of it. The turkish government does not support the 'Noah's Ark story'. They don't want the intrusion/invasion of their territory. Too bad because it could settle quite a few debates!

The Turkish government is not interested in the truth. That is why they say no to anyone wanting to explore the ark.

You really believe that geologic feature is a wooden boat from how long ago?

Please post the links to the "proof" you seem to have.

Makes more sense that the children of Noah would have used all that wood for houses and cooking dinner. Don't ya think?
