I take Bible History at school. And we are currently on Second Kings (we go in order, by the way). And all I've read and heard about was how God's plan went completely down the drain. He saved his people from Egypt, a couple hundred years later, his plan had completely sunk. I know God is all knowing. And he knew people would end up like this. So, why'd he do it?! Why'd he create us, anyway?? If he knows the human race is such a horrible, greedy, self-centered, nonchalant, chauvinistic, idiotic, lying, stealing, murdering, unreligious thing....Why the heck did he even make us?? He KNOWS, as time goes on, people forget more and more about him. If we last this long, in another thousand years, we won't remember who God is. The Bible will be a silly thing of the past. What's the point?? Why create something so...amazingly great....just to watch it fall to ruins?

Everyone feels like you do at some point. They step back and are like "man if this all ends up as dust, whats the point"? Well the point is this. Life is a wonderful gift, placed right into your hands to do with as you please. Most of us can't see that. It's painful and lonely sometimes and it wonderful and joyful at others. Just as the sand on the beach is dry and hot the water is cool and relaxing. Everything has purpose. I can't say that I feel the bible is 100% divine but I can say there is a lot to be learned about how man's failings can destroy his life. I don't think it was meant to be taken litterally, but more as parable to learn from. Faith is something that is given to you. There is a lot of pressure out there to just give it up. I have wondered at times if God even exists, and then I look around me and think how could all of this come from nothing? In my mind it's just not possible. It is all so complex and so perfect. There are worms that aireate the soil so the grass can grow so the cows and birds and cayotes can eat as well as man. Snow falls in the mountains pure enough to drink to fill the streams to provide water for all of the flora and fawna. The flowers and the trees the birds spread seeds and the bees collect pollen to make trees bear apples so juicy and sweet. It all works in unison, together like a beating heart. Pushing the blood full of oxygen to the cells in your body restoring your mind and your muscles so you can run and play and experience love, and beauty....and its all built in. People say there is no God, but he is everywhere I look. And the resons why are in everyday life. The laughter of a child playing with a puppy. The joy of a new child to its mother. The warmth of a Christmas fire, with cocoa oh and the tiny marshmallows. God bless................

Hi, Im very SORRY that you are confused, it tells us that everything and everyquestion will be answered in time. Everything was predestinated from the beginning of time, before, and every thing works together for a plan of good. Yes we are given free will, but also we were given an awesome gift, called Grace, in grace we are saved. The word tells us that no man should boast that he is better than anyone, that no one is better than the other. There is a reason because it is a free gift all we have to do is believe. The Law was taken away, we dont use it anymore thanks to our friend Jesus. God saw that it was to hard on us and gave us a break. Just like parents do for their own children. I really wish that you would Pray for wisdom, because God will grant it , and he can answer your questions better than Y! I really hope you find what you need. please pray for wisdom with a true heart, and wait, it will come.

Every story in the bible is a lesson to be learned, whether it is your belief or not. Some people forget, not all. Continue your education besides Bible history, (or you will continue to think this way)....Study other religions, spirituality, etc., and you will find the "God" portrayed in Bible history is unbelievably greater than that. Even though humans have flaws, we also have qualities that are the exact opposite of the negatives you mentioned. God did not create us to fail, although failure is part of life. Through failure many great realizations and achievements have risen.

I used to have a TC badge a month in the past, yet then it disappeared. in all probability has some thing to do with the undeniable fact that I have been long gone for approximately a month and not answering any questions. have not gotten yet another one considering that. Oh properly, no court cases right here. :) MQ: I savour Classical, human beings, Jazz, Rock (many times classic rock in spite of the undeniable fact that), and easily a sprint of Ska. So, i assume 5? bear in concepts when I point out those genres, I additionally advise the subgenres that fall below it besides. Peace!

If we all took the attitude you have, nothing would be accomplished because we would be convinced that nothing COULD be accomplished.

The concept of an "all knowing" God does not necessarily mean that he knows the exact resolution of all actions. God has given man the choices, but leaves it to man to figure things out.

Your viewpoint of Biblical history is warped. God DID bring the Israelites to the "land of milk and honey" and he DID tell them that they would have to fight for the land and he DID tell them that if they decided to have a king, they would have to sacrifice freedoms to him. Kings II deals with David, who fit into many of the shortcomings that you cite (sending Uriah to the front lines so he could run off with Uriah's honey is a real winner).
Yet the same David is credited with writing many of the Psalms that are considered a pinnicle of piety.
Anyway, God did create the Jewish people, who are still around, whose presence in the world belies their size (15 million in 6 billions). Doesn't that impress you?

Some questions cannot be answered by human minds because God's thinking capacity is astronimically higher than ours. It's like trying to solve a problem with a 64K computer when you need at least a 4 gigabyte. God's plans make sense in the end, it just takes awhile.

I don't believe he created us to let us fall to ruins. He created us for greater things. We are just temporarily passing a test. Didn't you ever give someone the ability to do it their way even if it was wrong so they could learn a lesson? What about the possibility that it could teach others a lesson at the same time. Do you think we are alone in the universe that he didn't create other beings and worlds that haven't rebelled as we have and can learn by watching what happens to us what might happen to them if they rebel? Sorry I know answer a question with a question but sometimes it leads to deeper thought.

I have no right to quote the bible but the only book ive read and let me tell you its deep! Is the book of JOB he is completely tortured but never curses GOD but he says some of the coolest things like "what does it matter to GOD if we are good or not? It doesnt affect him either way what we do or how we are" It sure does affect us though. and if you've ever been deeply saddened you might relate to this he loses his whole family and states that "if my saddness could be weighed, it would be heavier than all the sands of the seas" thats heavy!.I agree its confusing but we need GOD! especially when we die we will want to know him no matter how much we understand it all!

Focus in on the ones who got it right hon.JESUS said "enter in the strait gate for strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life and FEW be there that find it, but broad is the way that leads to destruction and many travel thereon."
HE died for all humanity knowing that there will be a group that DOES love HIM and lives to please HIM and does get it right.I am sure when HE looks at those people HE feels HIS suffering was worth it, because HE loves US that much.
We make our own choices,HE didnt force the majority of mankind to go astray, but HE died trying to show us the right way.
Look at Elijah, Elisha, Samuel, David, the Apostles and many others, and realize it isnt all in vain, there will be people who make it to heaven.
Remember there was ALWAYS a remnant in EVERY generation GOD took care of no matter how bad the majority became. The first generation may have died in the wilderness but the 2nd generation made it in.
Read John 3:1-5 and Acts 2:38

He also made a way for us to spend eternity with Him(repentance of sin and faith in Christs finished work on the cross) and many have taken Him up on it. Though the whole earth fall into total ruins as you say God will make a new heaven and a new earth for those who love Him and we will be with Him for eternity. That's why He did it all. For eternity. Where will you spend yours?
