okay, i am bi (mostly gay) and nobody knows. but i am sick of people saying that gays go to hell, I have some proof that god does not disapprove of gays. If god really is the ultimate creator and is pretty much perfect. Then how is it that he does not accept gays even though straight people here on earth can accept us, unless of course you're saying that you're better than god? By the way, dont say that you dont accept us, because plenty of people dont really care what our sexuality is. The only person I have ever come out to is perfectly fine with it, and she doesnt treat me any differently. In fact we are closer than ever now.

Cause he burned a lot of them in SODOM, as in Sodomy. AND HE SAYS HE HATES THEM... Psalm 5:5

Because they choose to focus on the sin and not the sinner. Homosexuals are no worse than any other person on this earth. We all sin, every single day of our lives. Sin is sin, regardless of the form it takes. I don't hate homosexuals and neither does God. People that think that God cannot forgive homosexuality have a very narrow view of God.

There are a few mistranslated verses in the bible that people like to use to oppress gay people. I think the fact that Jesus never said one word about it is all a Christian should need to know. Go to ReligiousTolerance.org and read about it.

Homosexuality has been documented in at least 1,500 different species. It's as normal as having blue eyes or being left-handed. It's a natural variation. Don't let people keep you from being who you are.

There's the whole thing in Leviticus. Which is the only mention of homosexuality in the Bible as far as I know.

The idea they have is that being gay is an evil perverted choice...judging by how a lot of those anti-gay people act I'm pretty sure they're gay themselves. I didn't choose to be straight, nor could I choose to be gay.

Even if being gay is a choice, I don't care. Besides, lesbians get rid of my competition.

people fear what is different, unknown or seemingly a threat

that's why gay men are more a threat than effeminate men

usually butch women / lesbians are unacceptable but the fem women who look girly are not threatening

it's when a person who is not afraid of bible thumpers and hell is what scares the manipulating fundies out of their minds

if you are not worried about a hell and damnation, you are uncontrollable and must be removed and scared away from the Sheeple

Some Christians exploit gays by condemning them. They feel better about passing judgment on something, and it requires no sacrifice of themselves. They use this as a "pass" on actually having to look at their own lives and realizing there is a lot to condemn about themselves.

Sammy, God does not hate homosexuals. God hates the sin of homosexuality just like he hates the sin of stealing candy bars but does not hate the person who stold the candy bar. You must repent of the sin of homosexuality just like I repented for stealing the candy bar. Sammy God did not make one person gay and another person not gay . Neither did he make me to steal candy bars and you not to. We were all born into sin , and we all choose what sin we will commit. All sin including stealing candy bars and homosexuality is a chosen behavior by us,and can be forgiven by a loving and merciful God. His name is Jesus. Come to Christ Sammy , give up you sin , and come to Christ.

God does not hate gays. God hates homosexuality. God also hates heterosexual sex when it occurs outside the bounds of marriage, and so again, it is the sin He hates, not the sinner. Sinners He loves so much, He sent His own innocent Son to bear their punishment (read all of the very brief John, Chapter 3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203;&version=50;)

But I think the reason homosexuality is a more "grevious" sin than, say, a heterosexual marital affair, is that the married adulterous person (if they are born again) WILL feel truly convicted by the Holy Spirit (John 16:5-15 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2016:5-15;&version=50;) and will thus be moved to confess their sin (read 1 John 1:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=69&chapter=1&verse=9&version=50&context=verse) and are therefore cleansed again. This grace of God is not a license to sinful living (Romans 6:1-2 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%206:1-2;&version=50;) but a pathway for the born again believer to find peace when they do fall in to sin, while their redeemed spirits are still bound in their sinful fleshly bodies.

However, a homosexually active person (i.e., one who "lives" the gay lifestyle, whether openly or not) NEVER moves from a state of conviction by the Holy Spirit to an act of confession to repentance leading to the forgiveness by the Father. Why? Because, as you and many other gays indicate, you "don't see anything wrong" with homosexuality, even though the Bible clearly says it is an abomination/ sin.

But again, to be clear, heterosexual adultery (sex when you are married with someone who is not your spouse) and fornication (sex outside the bonds of marriage) are both also no less abominable sins before the eyes of the Lord than the sin of homosexuality.

Unlike a married born again believer who might foolishly commit a one-night-stand affair and find themselves convicted, repentant, etc, a person who has an on-going lover(s) "on the side" and calls themselves a born again believer should have no confidence that Christ has accepted their confession of Him unto salvation. This is because they are also clingling to their sinful heterosexual lifestyle (call it "an adulterous lifestyle" akin to the "gay lifestyle") and therefore they are really not repentant.

Instead, like the gay who says, "I was born this way," or "God made me this way," to attempt rationalize away their lifestyle of sin, the adulterous "Christian" often is also heard to say, "God understands my lustfulness because He made me this way," or "If God didn't want me to cheat, He should make my husband/wife more (fill in the blank.)"

We humans are great at finding ways to rationalize our sinful sexual behaviors. God is great at forgiving us for our sins (if we are faithful to accept His Son as our Savior,) and He is also great at guiding us away from our sinful nature (homosexual or heterosexual) if we, once truly born again, will follow the leading of the Holy Spirit rather than the desires of the flesh.

If I have it right, I think they believe that God created man and woman to continue the human race. Since same sex couples cannot do this, some religions believe that God hates or is against this lifestyle. Don't worry about it, no matter who you are, people find something not to like.
