Rhetoric by those who do not know how to read, but rather take on the opinions of others to the advancement of their own ignorance.

Jesus talked to a Samaritan woman at the well. A.) Samaritans were despised. B) Women were despised in that culture. C.) Loose women were horribly despised. D.) Loose Samaritan women were three strikes and OUT!

Women in that day were thought even less of than slaves. It was through the teachings of the Bible that women were given an equal standing with men--for all are now one in Christ.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The above was the beginning of a revolution of freedom for women. A freedom which has been horribly abused today by both parties.

I don't think the bible has hatred toward women. The writer simply told a story that happened and how people reacted, and what they thought God would do about it. There are good women and there are bad women just like there are good men and bad men. I come from a traditionally matriarchal society, so I would generally have to say that some women are weak, and some women are strong, while yet others are tyrannized. Back then, and now. We are all subject to death, no matter what our sex is, but in conclusion, one must admit that the male animal is a dangerous one when provoked or wild, and have the potential to cause far greater damage than women. (The bomb was NOT invented by a woman....neither was the bra)

I'm not saying that what you see in the bible is false. I'm saying that it's a truth that is difficult to live with. You are free to disagree. I am free to rationalize.

Some people have warped what the Bible says to fit their chauvinistic viewpoints, and others have listened to what they say instead of investigating for themselves. If you actually read the Bible, and do some studying, you might be surprised. Jesus had women disciples, there were women warriors and prophets in the Hebrew Bible, and in the book of Proverbs wisdom is personified as a woman. There are tons more examples. Don't let anyone mislead you into thinking that in Christianity or Judaism that women have to be second class. It is not so!!!

I used to think that too until I started studying how Jesus treated women. Then I learned that the respect and dignity with which He treated women was unheard of in society until He came along and I've gained a new appreciation of the Bible and its message.

"The position of women in the Hebrew commonwealth contrasts favorably with that which in the present day is assigned to them generally in eastern countries. The most salient point of contrast in the usages of ancient as compared with modern Oriental society was the large liberty enjoyed by the women.

Instead of being immured in a harem, or appearing in public with the face covered, the wives and maidens of ancient times mingled freely and openly with the other sex in the duties and amenities of ordinary life.

Rebekah traveled on a camel with her face unveiled, until she came into the presence of her affianced. (Gen 24:64,65) Jacob saluted Rachel with a kiss in the presence of shepherds. (Gen 29:11) Women played no inconsiderable part in public celebrations. (Ex 15:20,21) (Judges 11:24)
The odes of Deborah, Judges 5, and of Hannah, 1 Sam 2:1, etc., exhibit a decree of intellectual cultivation which is in itself a proof of the position of the sex in that period.

Woman also occasionally held public office, particularly that of prophetess or inspired teacher. (Ex 15:20; Judges 4:4; 2 Kings 22:14; Neh 6:14; Luke 2:36)

The management of household affairs devolved mainly on the women. The value of a virtuous and active housewife forms a frequent topic in the book of proverbs. (Prov 11:16, 12:4, 14:1, 31:10, etc. Her influence was of proportionably great."

short answer: it substitute into written by potential of an egotistical warlord. they are Islamosupremacists first and human beings 2d. long answer: study Islam and it will make you ill. Take the 'guided excursion' from some believer and be dumb adequate to believe it and you will substitute into an Islamosupremacist animal your self. I used to believe (years in the past) that Islam substitute right into a non violent misunderstood hippy version of Christianity from the desolate tract. THEN i actually PRACTICED the 'open mindedness' that liberals are consistently patting themselves on the lower back for. seems, in case you verify out the info, Islam is a vile disgusting evil faith (until eventually you do not believe that stoning rape sufferers to loss of life for 'adultery' is vile, disgusting and evil. Or in case you do not believe that 'thighing' little ones is vile, disgusting and evil. Or that forcing 9 twelve months olds to marry sweaty previous adult adult males is vile, disgusting and evil. Or in case you do not think of it somewhat is evil to kill human beings for criticizing a faith or for leaving that faith. Or in case you do not think of it somewhat is vile, disgusting and evil to hold gay human beings in basic terms for being gay.) Oh,and study Proud Kweer Gringo Kaffir. it somewhat is on the internet. could in basic terms take approximately 5 minutes. Opiniona, information flash. Christians are not the only ones who think of Islam is F'd up. i'm not a extensive fan of Christianity yet whilst in comparison with Islam, Christianity is a gay scientist satisfaction parade.
