True. Very true....
There is no explanation, it's illogical and hypocritical!

Why would you be offended when someone says that God is a fairy tale? They are just saying what they believe (which is the whole point of this site.) If you really believe in God, it shouldn't matter what other people say. He's big enough to exist whether people believe in him or not.

i find the whole idea of fearing someone that is supposed to have loved us enough to have given his only son, a little odd. surely we should love god, not fear, where is there a place for fear in religion?
there has to be a reason why they get angry, it could be a defence thing, maybe they don't believe in god because they have had a bad experience. people generally don't like getting told that they will fear god, i really wouldn't like it, i wouldn't get angry but i might find an excuse to walk away.

There is a difference between saying "god is a fairy tale" and saying "i dont believe in god". If someone tells you they dont believe, they are not saying you are wrong for believing, they are just giving their opinion. on the other hand, atheists dont want to hear "you are going to burn in hell", but that is different than saying " i believe in god"...

You have the right to take offense, and so do athiests.
It is hurtful, for both parties I think, when their belief system (or lack of one) is ridiculed in a mere sentence.
As a Christian, I find that saying "God is a fairy tale" is very offensive, but I know there are a lot of respectful athiests out there who would keep this opinion to themselves, especially if they know it would hurt a Christian.
God bless, xoxo

It's them, believe me!
I don't understand Atheists at all! Wondered why they are so strong about no such thing as a God!!!!!!!!
Not just Atheists will fear God, but everybody should!
Somebody told me that when God comes back, he will be back to clean up this earth, not end it!
I don't know, but that's what I heard personally!

Who said you can't take offense?? My dear this is a free country...for the most part you can offend or take offense to any damn thing you please!!
Bottom line, people don't want to accept other points of view that do not coincide with their own...
Speak your peace and let other's speak theirs...if you truly believe in your faith, just the knowledge of that alone should be enough not to offend you...but comfort you.
I believe the Bible is worth less than the toilet paper in my bathroom....that's what I believe and nothing anyone says would offend me because I know that to be the truth!! God is very much real...and when you KNOW God, nothing will offend you....nothing!

You are supposed to take offense, dear, as it is meant to offend. Just as "you will fear God" offends us.
You can fire the you "will fear God" line right back, for all the good it will do.
No one changes their belief based on a one liner on the internet.

It is hard not to be offended. You just have to remember that we are told in the Bible, that people did offend God. Just think of all the ridicule thrown at Him by atheist.
Just hold your head up, in a loving way, because you really don't know who you are talking to, they might say Yes Lord.
We are to turn the other cheek.
Think of the persecution going on in other countries. We have just a little taste here. Gird yourself up, Spiritually, pray Jesus what would you have me do. Then pray for His help in doing it. God Bless!

Well, because "God" IS a fairy tale, of course, and of course atheists will never "fear God".
The simple fact of the matter is that truth counts. Your radical relativism is simply nonsense.

When I was a christian, I could never understand why I was supposed to be afraid of god, if he loved me, And if god loved me, why would he send me to hell?
the bible is just to contradictory to suit my mind, and I could never get past those differences.
And if there are like 237? Which one is right, if they didn't include the whole thing.
nope, i'll just stick to logic.
