By the way some people see it, many of us will be in Hell. And by what I've read here, once we arrive there is no way out.

Is this really so?

[Bible excerpts to "support" your say, if needed, are welcome]

Yes, the_end_is_near, this question was because of you. But I'd appreciate it more if you actually said something intelligent instead of only copy pasting something that you probably didn't even write yourself. But thanks anyway.

Okay this is overwhelming, Each sentence I read from you people. Seems so untrue. Yes, I wanna believe god is true. But its truly hard since Hell really, brings me down. I mean people say take a chance mines well. and They say pray to god hes all that is right" Which Since I just read like everyones thoughts I don't know whats true now. and Dieing seems like once your dead you cant feel pain anymore. and living is just hell itself. Whats life when you have no destiny I don't even no if god is fake or not. You people just wanna believe it. So much proof but wheres the ANSWERS im not talking about what the bible says or what people think" Its relatively on what We Should KNOW" and I'm scared. I don't know what to believe. and I don't know whats gonna happen, At least I have an idea that maybe just maybe Theres a god just doesn't make since that people would die so badly.

Heaven and Hell are both eternal. If the reward (forgiveness/Heaven) is eternal (and it is) then the lack of faith, unrepentant,= penalty, is eternal too. Should someone like Hitler, Marx, etc. only be punished for a few days? God loves us. That's why Heaven is offered. God loves us, but hates sin We know that eternal Hell is where unrepentant sinners will go. So why not accept Christ, accept the forgiveness He offers and not worry about Hell. We don't have to go there. We know what the punishment is and it's terrible, everlasting agony in Hell. All the more reason to choose what's right (God/Heaven) and not Satan/Hell. The choice is ours. We know what will happen if we do what's right and we know what will happen if we do what's wrong.

Hell seems like forever to those who are already cast into it. The Bible says that it is a place of torment where "the worm dieth not & the fire is not quenched."

However, hell will last only until Judgment Day.

After that, something much worse replaces it...the Lake of Fire, which will last forever. Those who are now in hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire and will forever be seperated from God.

Hell, Death, the devil, demons, the AntiChrist and the False Prophet wil also end up in the Lake of Fire.

Yes, Hell is forever. The following verses say the smoke of their torment will ascend for ever and ever.

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Hell is eternal seperation from God, however it is depicted as a firey place. After Jesus comes back hell is destryoed but all the non-believers are thrown in the lake of fire. So in other words yes hell is forever. Better make your choice now before its to late.

Yes and no. For satan and his minions it is forever as indicated by the smoke forever rising. For sinning humans, the punishment is death. The second death. Their ashes are trod under the feet of the righteous. It is in Revelation. For humans, it is eternal punishMENT. For satan and his crowd, it is eternal punishING.
I am an atheist, I do not believe any of it, but that does not mean I am ignorant of what is said. Cheers shipmate.

Hell is a temporary holding place, sort of like the county jail before being sentenced to forever in the Lake of Fire at the Great White Throne Judgment.

The Lake of Fire is forever and ever.

According to the Gospel of Thomas (I think that was the one...it's been a while since I've read it) if the people in heaven wish for all the souls in hell to be saved they can be. It's not Biblical, but rather apocrypha.

The Bible does talk about "eternal punishment" (e.g.Matthew 25:31-46)
