I always misjudge them. I think I'm very good at reading people, and I usually am, the only time it fails is when I'm looking for a date/boyfriend. I try soooo hard to find the smart nice guys, but it never works out that way... I think of myself as at least above average intelligence, and whenever I think I've found someone who I think I could actually carry on a decent conversation with, I turn out to be wrong.

Of the last 3 boyfriends I had:
1. stupid as ****
2. stupid as **** and cheated on me
3. stupid as ****, shoved me all the time AND cheated on me.

Why am I so bad at picking guys??? Do you guys have any advice?

In many religions, even if they do not blatantly express that you must not associate with someone of your own faith, is it not as harmful to the individual or religious cause in general to even feel a sense of "pity" for those that do not believe in the same things as you do?

Amnesty claim that women in certain countries are being denied access to certain health care services - especially abortion clinics.
Do the unborn have no rights? As a moral question, I am insensed at Amenisty, should I be? shouldn't you be? I will never understand the violence done to women or indeed against any form of life in our society, including abortion, what say you as a christian?
P.s Reseach this yourself and yes this is an appropriate forum

I wanted to contribute a question for commentary or possible panel discussion regarding: "Men within the Church that are neglecting their role as priest of their household to pursue career driven ministry". I have been observing that many in our church families are being torn apart because of this growing epidemic. Everyone is so impressed about the growing numbers that they are overlooking the cost to families.
I can’t help but question “ why would God call our us to Minister to others before we minister to our loved ones?”. It would seem as though Hollywood dreams and Christian Emmys are being fostered even by unaware congregation in supporting these types of Ministries by promoting them. Some of these are also deviating from the true Gospel. I cannot imagine Joseph putting his capentry business before being a good role model to Jesus even as a step-parent.I would imagine he took his role seriously. So obviously God entrusted Joseph with His son. Would not the same God expects us to place our values were it is needed the most? Support of family is very important but how can we support something that is breaking lives apart to build others up? Please let me know if I am wrong for feeling this way?

Revelation 14
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

In other words, where, throughout
Protestantism's relatively brief life-span, can we find examples (just one will do) of actually working-functioning in such a way that it brings about doctrinal certitude and unity of doctrine among Christians?

You give your gods credit for all the "blessings" in your life, but none of the blame for misfortune and tragedy.

How do you rationalize this way of thinking?

Do you sit there and confess your sins to "get right with God" feeling guilty and "heavy" and shameful like you need to wipe your slate clean before eating the elements?

Or

Do you thank the Lord and celebrate the fact that His shed blood took away ALL your sins and you are now in Him and He is in you?

I used to do the first but now I do the second after a revelation that communion is a celebration of the covenant He made with me! It's supposed to be both a Holy, reverant time but also a joyous time because He loved me so much He died for ME!! And my faith is in His shed blood and broken body not in my confessions. My confessions of sin are the results of what He did for me, not the method of my salvation.
I have found that communion is also a time of connecting to Him in a physical way through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Anyway, what do you think? What's your experience?

I just realized something. We all have a belief system about God here. May it be that he does or doesn't exist. I also noticed you don't here many fights about how many Gods take care of everything. Kewl. I also notice that a lot of people ask the same thing over and over in different context and they get the same answers in different ways. That is so kewl. IS there anything I missed that you notice about our little Religion and spirituality community that I didn't recognise.

I'm just curious how something two consenting adults do in the privacy of their home threaten the marriages of people who often live several states away.

Is quantum entanglement involved? What is the process by which this happens. Scientific answers please.

i was at Christian camp 2 years ago, and we were having a question/answer time and some guy asked if masturbation was a sin. he said he had asked the question before but had never gotten a direct answer. after some of the teens took the mike and put their 2 sense in on the matter, and some of the leaders spoke, the conclusions was this. sex outside of marriage is wrong, and dirty thoughts thinking about sex is also a sin, and when you masturbate, that causes you to think about sex and picture yourself doing it, and therefor masturbation is a sin. while i was at camp, i had never masturbated before, but now, 2 years later, i find it quite pleasurable, but i always feel guilty afterwards because i feel like i'm sinning. can someone help me here (from a Christian stand-point,i know atheists are gonna say nothing is wrong with it,and it's natural, just like they say sex outside of marriage is "natural".and no atheist wise-cracks about brainwashing, etc. your answer will be ignored). thanks.

I am not an atheist.

I am not a pantheist.

I am not a polytheist.

I am polypanatheistic!!!

Lol...

Pantheistic = I beleive "God" is the essence of the universe, what makes up everything.

Atheistic = I don't think it's a god, just a non-sentient force.

Polytheist = I beleive there are eight of these essences, one for each color of the spectrum + black.

What do you say to that?

I'm a triple threat heathen! Lol.

Opinions? Thoughts? Comments?
