And YES, they really are trying to link this shooting to the idea that he called himself a social darwinist.
They really are this deluded.
But how many times do they write stories about people who kill because "god told them to". Never.
Gee, yellow journalism never looked so good...

For example if you are a Christian, would you be less trustful of Atheists and say afterall they don't believe in God, how can I trust them?

Or Vice versa, If you are an Atheist, would you be less trustful of Christians and say they probably don't know what they are speaking about, they believe in supernatural powers.

Take the issue of prayer in school. I was taught growing up by my horrid baptist mentors that it was illegal to pray in school. However,as we all know, it isnt illegal to pray in school its just illegal for teachers (State representatives) to force children to pray to gods they dont worship. This is merely one example of fundementalists twisting the truth in an effort to supprt their martyresque agenda.
So... why lie about it... we can simply find out the truth ourself and it does nothing but hurt your own causes... kinda like the boy who cried wolf...

I'm doing a National History Day project on voodoo.... at least, that's what I thought. The theme is 'Conflict and Compromise'. I've researched quite extensively, but I don't know a specific point in the history of Voodoos that could be classified at a 'conflict'. Is there one point in time where Voodoo believers have been openly discriminated or something? And if there was, what was the 'compromise'?

Thanks so much in advance!

The verses below seem to state we can lose our salvation. In Hebrews 3:6 is says we are of the house of Christ IF we hold firm to the end. Verses 12-14 warn of departing from God and hardening our hearts. It tells us to hold steadfast to the end.

Hebrews 4:1 warns us of falling short.

Revelation 2:4-5 warns the church of Ephesus. They are told to repent and do their first works again or else their candlestick will be removed.

There are many more verses but the point is we can turn our backs on God. If we do then don't we lose our salvation?

I read a lot of the responses in the R&S section and many of them say to "study the Bible" if you want the truth. I've read and studied the Bible and all I see is a lot of contridiction and judgement. Plus (and this is for women) how can you possibly believe in a book that says to SUBMIT to men? I'm sorry, but the God I believe in didn't say that.

Please tell me your feelings about the Bible you do or do not believe in. Everyone of all faiths/non-faiths please feel free to answer.

John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was h
